CWBB Team # 8 - “I Don’t Want to Imagine a World Where We Don’t Collide”

Hey guys! I had the pleasure of working with the amazing author @ifonlyweknewwhatiwasdoing (MusicSoul1982 on Ao3) for this years’ @codywanbigbang . You can find the fic on their Ao3 and i recommend reading it. 🥺 Here’s the amazing excerpt that inspired the art.

“I hate fighting with you,” Cody whispered.

“I hate fighting with you too darling,” Obi-Wan admitted, “I love you. Let’s get some sleep. I’m going to request another day before my mission. I don’t want to leave with this between us.”

“Thank you,” Cody murmured, burying his face in Obi-Wan’s neck as Obi-Wan wrapped his arms around him, sighing in relief, “I love you too.”

“Goodnight, dear one,” Obi-Wan said softly, pressing a kiss to Cody’s head.

“Goodnight, cyare.”

Summary:

Cody is the son of Jango Fett, leader of the Mando’ade, one of the largest crime families in Coruscant City. One day, he will take on his  father’s mantle and run their successful crime empire. That is if the Jedi don’t take them out first. After all, the Jedi were there first and with decades of bad blood, it’s a surprise they haven’t both killed each other off.

Ben to his friends, Obi-wan to his family, wants nothing to do with his family’s business.  He just wants to sell coffee,  live his life watching his little siblings grow up, and fall in love with a handsome man, Kote, as glorious as his name. That is until it all implodes and suddenly Ben is set to become the next family head and the only path to peace is marriage to the heir of the Mando'ade.

As part of @codywanbigbang Team #17 has a time-travel fix-it story by @jedishadowolf with art from the wonderful @djk-creations! Rating: Teen

Summary: CC-2224 died on the Death Star. With his death, Cody is freed from his captivity within his own mind. When he regains awareness he’s given a choice. Rest in the Kara with the Mandalorians that have marched on or take the chance to go back in time. He is given one task - Save Mandalore. To do that he will need to save the Jedi and defeat the Sith as well.
