"Hey, this is really important," Belphegor announced as he strode into the room, "The Prince is bored, and it's too hot to go outside." He took off his uniform jacket and unceremoniously collapsed onto the sofa, propping his boots up on the coffee table. "Booooreeed~" he whined, pointedly fixing a expectant stare on Haru, "Haaruuu~"
Haru was taken by surprise, almost dropping whatever it was that she was writing on when Belphegor strode into the room, announcing his boredom. “Feet off the table, Bel.” The sanctity of the coffee table placed high on Haru’s list, apparently. Just like having a clean floor, one not made messy with dirt or blood.
On the topic of being bored, she wasn’t to sure how to help him, but she looked down at the notebook she was writing in. She stares at him, deep in thought. By now, she could hazard a few guesses as to how he’d react to certain things, and she was very sure that if she asked for him to stop sneaking in through her window, she’d be met with opposition. As such, Haru decided to listen to the words of the wise: ‘If you can’t beat them, join them.’
What better way to join in by making a game out of it? “Since you’re here, listen to an idea i’ve been thinking about, okay? I’m pretty sure that even if I asked you to stop sneaking in through my window, you won’t listen. So, how about this? The ground rule is that I tolerate no property damage. Don’t break my windows and don’t damage any of the walls, no matter what. If you can’t make your way through, come in with the spare key like a normal person.”
“I’m going to try to set up little puzzles for you to fiddle with. I make no promises that they’d be that difficult though, you are a genius, after all.” It’s a tall order to expect that she’d orchestrate something that even he’d struggle with. Maybe once she gets a hang of things, she can try getting outside help, like--- from Giannini. “Oh- don’t make my floors dirty either. If you break or stain something, i’m expecting you to deal with it.” Note how she didn’t word it as he would have to clean the mess himself, since she was 100% sure he’d send someone else to clean the mess instead should she try to make him clean.
“What do you think? No good? I thought it would be a fun little activity.” Normal couples probably only considered having matching couples keys or something, but Haru and Belphegor were far from normal. “If you don’t like it, forget it. If you like it, let’s discuss the details. I’ll draft a contract.” Nothing says romance quite like: ‘Hey, draft a contract with me and make sure to sign it, okay?’
