A group of friends who should’ve known more joy than pain.
Clay jensen might be one of my favourite characters. There are a lot of things wrong with this show but I feel like clay jensen was done right. He's not a hero. He feels human. Dylan minette is outstanding. Especially in season 4. They lost the plot but dylan minette really brought it to life
Been watching 13 reasons why with my buddy @lackablazeical and we came to the conclusion that we just love Tony lol.
I genuinely have so many complex feelings about this show and while the first two seasons are certainly much better and you can feel some writing deteriorating, the writing is consistent in this way of making you question who's who and what's what and striving for a moral gray that's fully encapsulated by the fact that these are meant to be teenagers. Does that absolve them of their actions? No. But it makes the messiness and the irrationalness almost make sense. And I don't think saying that the show props up negative stereotypes (in most cases; don't quote me I promise I see the flaws) is fair. I don't think most people who drag it through the mud or meme on it actually sit down with an open mind and allow themselves to look for what has merit.
You can acknowledge the shit while appreciating what's good, yk? And while it's not fair at all that Tony is in this position of fixing other people's issues when he has his own stuff that he needs and, more importantly, wants to address, I do still desperately think he would've been a better character for Tyler to have verbalized his trauma to. It was always going to he Clay, we knew this, but he still needs a Tony hug.

i have been watching 13 reasons why lately, and uhm i’m up to season 2, on episode 3. and here’s what i think so far:
BRYCE IS A FUCKING DEMON, NO AMOUNT OF REDEMPTION WILL SAVE HIM. i love jessica davis, like she’s so sweet omg 😭 and i totally get why she’s irritated, i fully understand her too. fuck bryce man. i love zach but sometimes hes so…??? like do u want to be friends with alex or are u just like. being kind for no reason?? and tyler is starting to grow on me - LOVE that he has his own friends now!! hes so awkward, and i rlly am starting to like him. courtney is a bit you know, on and off for me atm, but she is cute. alex! i love alex, i think his development is getting better - and honestly, love his new hair omg and the fact that he is so friendly with tyler??? like didnt know that was happening. like wow. and clay, i love him!! his friendship with tony is so sweet oh my god.
but, that’s all for now! i love this show and its like. cinematography idk. rate my opinions if you want
I am currently at season 3, episode 8 of "13 reasons why" (just finished that episode) and hooooly shit - the scene where Tyler tells Clay about the thing that happened to him (no spoilers)?!? THAT was some teriffic acting, holy shit!! I had goosebumps and almost teared up. Absolutely amazing.
I am so conflicted about this season - it's confusing in big parts (at least for me 😅) and I really don't like Ani - but they really brought new sides and depth to Brice, Tyler and Justin.
Also loved the episode (6? 7?) which had much Miles/Alex in it and even some spicy scenes 😏😁
