#Paleostream 23/05/2026
here's this week's #Paleostream flocking sketches!!
this week we sketched Yoshi, Tylosaurus (most of us drew Tylosaurus rex), Xianshou (mine is inside a speculative Weltrichia sp.), and Argyrolagus
Been having TOO MUCH fun on Path Of Titans, had to doodle my dino's before 2025 ends.
Continuing with the late Cretaceous marine environment of southern Sweden, the huge mosasaur Tylosaurus ivoensis tries an attack from below.
Here are a few drawings I’ve made of Tylosaurus rex, which at 13-14 m (approx. 43-46 ft) long is the largest species of the mosasaur genus Tylosaurus as well as one of the largest and most fearsome mosasaurs of all time. one of these artworks is titled “Always a Bigger Mosasaur” and depicts the animal devouring a juvenile of the smaller Tylosaurus proriger at the bottom. For a long time the largest Tylosaurus specimens were once considered to be a very large member of T.proriger until they were classified as T.rex a few days ago.
Commissioned drawing of a tylosaurus falling into the waters.
Today's marine reptile artwork is "Cretaceous Jaws," an acrylic painting from 2001; featuring Cretoxyrhina (top left), an adult Tylosaurus (top right), two Squalicorax (bottom right), and a juvenile Tylosaurus (middle left).
Had to quickly draw the new mosasaur around, welcome, Tylosaurus rex!
Colors inspired by a less cool T.rex :P
