HMS Vanguard with the Type 15 frigates Venus, Virago and Verulam at Gibraltar in 1953. There are three carriers visible in the distance and the tower of another directly behind Vanguard, behind which was another.

The Next Generation shuttlecraft
Not sure about that “type 5L”, I’ve never seen it before
The BRM Type 15 was the brutal axe wielding psychopath of Grand Prix in the early 50's.
This beast was equipped with an overly complicated 1.5 liter V16 engine with a supercharger inspired by the one used in the Spitfire fighter plane. It made well over 600 horsepower at 12 000 rpm.
Over 600 horsepower in a car that is equipped with drum brakes, wire spoke wheels and tires only a few inches wide and no seatbelts.
This is a machine that will murder you and your entire family if you give it any disrespect.
For reference, F1 cars wouldn't make such power again until the 70's
Unfortunately the project was underfunded, poorly developed and it broke down more often than it could finish a race. Racking up only two victories in its entire two year career.
The joke was BRM stood for "British Racing Misery".
What made it famous was the sound it made when it did manage to race, drowning out whatever Ferrari, Mercedes, Maserati or anyone else had on the grid.
