Picked up this little lady over the weekend. Norinco T53, 1955 stamp, produced by arsenal 26. Bore is great, gun is about 99% rust free. Stock has some dings, but is in good shape overall. My plans for this old girl will probably make some purists mad, but idgaf.

Question for Gunblr,

Well, I went to the range yesterday with my type 53, I wanted to play around with the sights and get myself more used to handling it. Boy was i having problems. The range I was at is only about 50 yards and I just could not get a good grouping to save my life. Out of the 20 rounds I put through it, only 3 were about where I wanted them, the rest were bouncing all over the outside of the target.  I would like to be able to go to the range and shoot more than 20 rounds but i just couldn't go through with it. My shoulder still is uncomfortable and I don't wanna over do it as I work a very physical job. I am partially blaming the cheap ammunition, but, my question for gunblr is how could i take the stock down and put a limbsaver pad on it?

finally shot the type 53/mosin today. so fucking satisfied.

weirdest frigging dream ever. was at my "home" and mom comes rushing into the room saying there is a minatour in the backyard. so i run to my room and grab my trusty type 53 and head out the slider doors to the back yard. well its dark out but i spot the minatour and shoot it in the head. I noticed it made a ping noise and the minatour drops to the ground. well mom walks right up to it when obvious by its twitching it isn't dead. so i proceed to fire at it, only to hear more pings when i hit its head. turns out it has a steel face and proceeds to get up and maul mom. well i run outta bullets (type 53 only has 5 round capacity and god forbid that in my dream i can't have unlimited ammo) and try to sneak back inside. well it spots me and proceeds to chase me but i made the mistake of leaving the slider door open (not that it would have saved me anyways) well it follows me in and i'm around the corner then somehow gain the ability to fly and cling up to the ceiling and knowing the minatour is in the house i try to fly back out the slider door, only to see the minatour is lying on the ground right inside the door as i fly over it it watches me. moral:  5 rounds is obviously not enough to slay a steel faced minatour.
