Pixel Dailies (8/6/2020) - Rock, Paper Scissors.
Of all the type logic in the Pokemon games, one of the few I never really got is why Dark is weak to Bug.
I've heard a couple theories. Like, Dark types are controlling and bugs have a hive mind, so they would overwhelm the opponent with their swarms. Or that many bugs live in the dark, so Dark types can't scare them. And I did once hear a rather offensive joke about malaria. But overall, I have not really figured out the logic behind it except that it would not be fair for a type made to humble Psychic to only have one weakness.
But I also like the idea of a giant three-headed dragon being afraid of Caterpie.
It's extremely satisfying when you beat the shit out of a high level Pokémon with your low level one. Except when you get no EXP points from it. That's just terrible. Why would you even do that?
Pokemon has ruined me for all other shows. Because I use to be able to watch other shows that have fighting in it without thinking "obviously this villains weakness is electricity" when they are fighting a bird like monster or something. But no, now all I can think about is type advantage.
