ESTJ x INTJ
ESTJ's perfect. They have to be. With their aesthetic and precise organization for everything in their life, they walk on with a smug smile. They're the perfect metal clinking and whirring of machines working in sync. They're the certain crisp clear voice that cuts through the air. Their confidence. It doesn't falter.
INTJ looks at them. It's the unblinking strong gaze that they don't purposefully intend, but pushes onwards out of mere focus and a steady train of thought. They're the planning and algorithms of machines. They're the solid grounded voice that's neither harsh nor soft. Their intensity. It matches ESTJ's somehow.
“We can refine what already is.”
“We need a new solution. Efficiency is–”
They can casually get deep fast into discussions. Politics. Business. Technology, sometimes. They're like gears interlocking. Retrospection with foresight. A shared passion for efficiency. Straight to the point and logical. ESTJ's glad to find somebody who isn't so easily offended, but ready to strike back with another perspective and equally sharp arguments. INTJ's secretly thankful that someone puts up with their ramblings about proposed solutions and ideas and even joins in.
They throw their harshness at each other. ESTJ remarks bluntly. INTJ replies, blasé yet witty. The former shakes their head, undeniably amused; the latter scoffs. But they laugh hardest around each other. Sometimes it even goes down to the most ridiculous retorts, but they keep going strong.
They like the same strong coffee in the morning. Compatible routines – just that ESTJ wakes up a little earlier and goes out more often. But when they get home, they're both loose. ESTJ doesn't need to put up their perfect persona. They can just be who they are. And INTJ's silence isn't berated or feared, just accepted. Appreciated. And late at night, when they're tired but content and strangely reminded of how lucky they are with their lives, they smile. Genuinely.
“Good night.”
“You too. Sleep tight.”
And for a while they're just certain of the warmth in that instant – for a moment, and all that have been and those to come, that, at least, is what they hold on to.
(I don't know what I'm doing, I just know an INTJ and an ESTJ and I ship them so :(( yeah. if you liked this tho, send me an ask with a type pairing and i'll try to make smth too :,))
