Tyrell should have been home by 5, but looking at soft lilac sky that was slowly tinted pink and golden by the rising sun, he realized once more that he didn’t mind working overtime lately. Well, that was true for the night shift at least and he was well aware of the reason for his surprisingly good mood in the early morning hours. His current employer was situated about a ten minute walk from Old Ashton’s hospital and Ty would be exactly on time for the end of the shift of his girlfriend. Quickly, he sent her a short text ‘I’ll be waiting outside. x’ to let her know she could expect him on one of the benches outside the main entrance with a view over the small park of the hospital. He would actually be waiting for her, even if she would end up having to work overtime as well.
He took a seat in his usual spot, enjoying the first rays of sunshine of the day on his face, closing his eyes with a sigh. He felt so calm and at ease, he didn’t wanted his worries to intrude on these relaxed moments of serenity. He couldn’t stop them from clouding up the back of his mind though. There was one pressing thought in particular, that he needed to talk about with Emeline. He had meant to for a few days now after he had finally come to a conclusion, but he wasn’t sure how to start the conversation...
