The Empyrean Book 4 has to end with Xaden being cured.

I need riorgail to actually be a couple in book 5.

I need them to be the power couple that they are. The Duke and Duchess of Aretia reunited against the tyranny of Navarre and against the dark wielders?

CAN Y’ALL IMAGINE THE POWER THESE TWO WIELD?

I was so sick of everyone in leadership pointing out that they have to learn to be separated, and follow orders for everyone else’s good. NOPE.

I hope, wish, NEED in book 4 for Xaden to be cured so that him and Vi can become the menaces that we know they are. We know they are stronger together than apart.

Imagine Violet in book 4, learning to wield the power she has as Duchess of Aretia, and by the end of book 4, Xaden is just there for the vibes because he knows his wife can handle anything. He’s just there to remind everyone that his wife is the only thing keeping him in check and with his wife’s permission he will wreak havoc on all those that dare to question his wife’s authority.

Brain was thinking of how in Fourth Wing, Violet mentioning she knows Tyrrish to anyone from Tyrrendor should have led to a short dialogue in Tyrrish because of how rare it would be for them to be able to freely use the language, especially with the stigma of rebellion runes making everyone presume nefarious intent but Violet's the daughter of the General that helped burn Tyrrendor, she wouldn't help them with treason

And then brain went oh they'd have to actually have a language to do that and fantasy languages can be so annoying to have made specifically for your work, then oh use a real life language but then you would have to name the fictional country after the real life inspiration country and my brain helpfully suggestion Ireland since Rebecca Yarros already used so much irish for names

Then mounting horror and dread

As I realise that narrative wise, I have somehow made the Ireland country be forcibly colonised into a larger empire turned 1 single crown and our attempt to leave the union caused the deaths of our leaders, centuries of our language and customs being forcibly forgotten and neglected

And how did I manage to recreate Ireland's colonial history and the ramifications still felt today with 1 single thought thread
