💭 thoughts. [leviticus spoilers!]
it's absolutely important to me how the bus scene was integrated into Leviticus. whenever people say that they watched Leviticus just for the bus scene (solely for the sexual intentions), it genuinely infuriates me.
the entity is literally a manifestation of their fear. their shame. their internalized homophobia made it real. they don't know if the person they love is the source of the thing that's been haunting them. they don't know if loving each other will only make everything worse.
but they still choose each other.
they're still uncertain. the possibility that the entity could be either one of them is still hanging over everything. and yet they choose to be seen together anyway.
what is love if not choosing someone before certainty???
if you only watch Leviticus for the bus scene, you're missing why it matters in the first place!!
