Happy Storyteller Saturday! Does Sebastian have LITERAL demons (angel/demon situation) or emotional ones?

HI no sorry there are no literal angels and demons in this book although i do desparately want to write that AU.

he has a lot of emotional demons. sebastian's father killed himself when sebastian was very young and he's been haunted by this his entire life.

the angel in 'an angel walks into a bar' is caspar, who is honestly really more like all of sebastian's demons wrapped up in a very pretty angelic face, who then forces sebastian to face said demons. that's sort of the point of the book i guess.

any books that disappointed you?

carter & lovecraft by jonathan l. howard   (  just wasn’t what i’d expected, i had an issue with the pacing of the story and the protagonist, as well, i suppose; but the story did finally get interesting by the end  ), is everyone hanging out without me by mindy kaling, and the dead husband project by sarah meehan sirk ( this one was my fault; i judged it by its cover and title   -   although the titular short story was one of the best in the book ).

what reading goals do you have for next year?

i read about 23 books this year, including those for school, but i didn’t have a very good balance between fiction and non-fiction. next year, i’d like to read about 28 books with a better balance between genres and include more non-fiction! also i’m going to work on reading on a more consistent / habitual basis.

coffee: favorite cosmetic brands?im a big fan of kat von d lock-it foundation, smashbox liquid lipstick, & anastasia beverly hills concealer but other than that i just buy whatevers cheap at the drugstore lmao. ive found maybelline works best for eyeliner, e.l.f. works best for any kind of powders, and nyx has the Best dupe for abh’s brow wiz pencil like holy heck highly recommend 😩👌💯

the best thing that has happened to me this week.

i found old books that my dad had when he was a kid that he used to read to me and my sister before bed and they are very precious to me and finding them made me rly happy
