i write queer, poly romances with lots of messy relationships, found family, and moderately-slow burns. there are trans characters, co-dependent relationships, a lot of autism, excessive ocean and fire metaphors, the gifting of jellycats as the ultimate form of affection, varying amounts of kinky sex, and long slow redemption arcs.
all of my novels belong to the casparverse, which follows a bunch of messy gay people falling in love with each other and fucking each other up. the series is long and neverending and the absolute love of my life, and if you show even a modicum of interest in it i will give you a kiss <3
novels: in progress
sunshine all the way down the aisle
an occasionally violent, permanently angry foster kid gets dragged into his nemesis (and occasional hook up's) chaotic family life when he discovers that the guy's father is dying of cancer.
sunshine is the prequel to the main series. set a decade before caspar's story begins, this novel follows caspar's future love interest, sebastian, as he meets his future husband and begins to grow into the character that we will meet later on.
first drafted at 45k words.
an angel walks into a bar
a fling between a runaway and a polyamorous millionaire accidentally turns into something more complicated than either of them are ready for.
the second book in the main series. sebastian shows up again, caspar (eventually) falls in love, and it all goes very very badly.
currently being first drafted. again. for the fourth time. i have written 200k words worth of first drafts for this book in the last year. the fact that I am still utterly in love with it should tell you everything you need to know abt how much I love sebastian and caspar.
swimming in endless oceans
a heartbroken art student falls in love with his professor.
a spin-off from angel, this book follows kavi, one of caspar's best friends, after he leaves caspar and starts building a life for himself back in england. it's a cute, simple love story <3

the real punishment is the friends we made along the way: the novel where billie is such an asshole that harper and raya fall in love about it, and some pretty epic secrets get discovered along the way.
boyfriend trap: sebastian returns. luca and co trap them in a cabin together. that's it. that's the novel.

billie and daphne (working title): billie's reward for successfully completing her redemption arc.
on tour: the boys go on tour, engagements happen, closure happens, babies happen. this bad boy can fit so much drama into it.
elsie and finn (working title): caspar has a kid. harper and raya have a kid. they fall in love, i guess. the epilogue.

caspar jones
an adhd-riddled golden retriever with a heart of gold and immense levels of idiocy from which his heart of gold is not separate. he is charming, hyperactive, and endlessly extroverted. he loves with all of his rather broken heart and he is reckless in his attempts to protect, love, and care for the people, animals, and places around him. a golden surfer boy with a past he is running from and ghosts that still haunt him.
sebastian silva
sebastian silva is a stubborn, driven, grumpy millionaire who loves his husband and his cat more than anything else in the world. he has spent his life building something good out of the tattered remnants of his childhood; a dead father, shitty foster parents, absent grandparents who appeared only to put the weight of their empire on his shoulders. sebastian has all the ambition and anger issues of a poor kid given the opportunity of a lifetime, and all the provider, protective instincts of a man who has always had to fend for himself. he cares for those he loves with all that he has, and he has an awful lot to give. he is hard and rough but incredibly soft in-between the lines.
luca yang
luca yang is the personification of a big, warm hug on a rainy afternoon. he is autistic, adorable, and the smartest person in any room, although he does his level best not to be in any rooms if he can help it. the ocean stole his heart as a teenager, and a marine biology phd stole his time, money, and sanity as an adult; but honestly second-hand books, nintendo games, and instant ramen have probably stolen even more of those things, and at least the phd means he gets to swim with sharks on occasion.
billie fletcher
billie fletcher is the worst; but like, in a sexy way, you know? manipulative, biting, and completely unwilling to go down on someone even after insisting they go down on her for a minimum of twenty minutes before anything else happens? perhaps. she has a small waist and pretty hair though, so who cares about any of that? certainly not billie. all she cares about is keeping the party going, keeping some sort of roof over her head, and keeping her best friend from running off with a hot guy and leaving her. you can bet she will do whatever it takes to make that happen. there's a soft, traumatised underbelly to this girl, but she has her claws out. she'll swipe your eyes out before you ever get a chance to look at it.

Alex is a Boyfriend Shirt stealer, so that's his sleep shirt of choice, though he'll also opt for anything that happens to be clean, practical, and comfy. Definitely a shirt and (probably rainbow or otherwise novelty) boxer briefs guy.
Reeve is sleeping in a white undershirt he bought in a cost efficient 5-pack and boxer shorts (just plain colored, nothing fancy)
Hannah and Gareth both sleep naked
Louis wears a fancy bamboo blend pajama set
Grace owns many nighties but... they're not for sleeping. She's a nude sleeper.
Fox is wearing merch tshirts from his BFF Sandy's youtube channel, a pair of fluffy socks, and boxers

Misha and Noah just wear whatever is still reasonably clean in their packs, or if nothing is, a communal shirt from the Sanctuary stash so they don't introduce too much grime to the beds there. They would definitely not carry any kinda clothes specific to sleep-- not efficient enough.
Darwin sleeps in red panda form unless he's sleeping next to a partner or hookup, in which case he's probably nude
Spence sleeps in whatever clothes they wore that day, but probably pantsless (probably, but they have been known to pass out in jeans and complain about it in the morning)

okay time to lock in on the whole first draft by the end of june even though i don't currently have a plot thing. i have the next three hours. i am going to eat pizza, listen to shower asmr if that's a thing, and figure out what the fuck these lesbians are doing <3
well i got bored of plotting but i wrote the first 500 words and it kinda slaps so i'm counting that as progress. now i must pass the fuck out bc i agreed to a saturday shift and it starts at 9am. which is not as bad as 6:30am but not nearly as good as 3pm, u know.
being trans is so surreal sometimes bc yeah i'm real close to finally getting on a medication that i need to not want to die all the time but also it means that in a couple of years i won't be able to piss in public unless i can find a disabled bathroom or something. bc that makes sense.

The new EHRC Code of Practice pushes trans people out of toilets, hospital wards, and community spaces. It normalises gender policing based on appearance and stereotypes. It becomes statutory guidance in the UK by the end of June.
Trans people are now legally their assigned gender at birth and must join gendered spaces accordingly, but if they are perceived as their lived gender, they can also be ejected from those spaces. The guidance says: either break the law, or don’t pass too well.
A mass lobby is where you invite your MP to discuss your concerns with you in-person. Ask your MP to:
Demand full parliamentary scrutiny, debate, and use their free vote on the EHRC Code of Practice.
Support any motions rejecting the EHRC guidance. As of June 4th, Labour MP Nadia Whittome has submitted a prayer motion - Early Day Motion 240.
Write to Bridget Phillipson, the Minister for Women and Equalities about our concerns
Your MP does not have to be an ally, they do not have to respond to your email for you to show up and greencard them (details below the cut.) What matters is that as many people as possible show up.
I cannot stress this enough: Showing up in person matters. It is much more effective than petitions, emails, and letters.
It is a horrible, stressful time, and I am so sorry if you're trans and live in the UK. But I was at last year's mass lobby and the line for greencarding alone stretched around the back gates. It was a record breaking mass lobby and made us impossible to ignore. Let's do even better this time. Details under the cut:
Worried about what to say?
Bring your personal worries about transphobia being signed into law, and trans friends being excluded from public spaces. You are a living person who deserves dignity. Remind your MP of that. You will also get guidance and brochures from Trans Solidarity Alliance that outlines our demands. This is mine from last year.

Got a refusal or no response from your MP?Â
Come anyway! You can request a same-day appointment with your MP through a process called greencarding. They will come and see you if they’re already in Parliament. Even if they don’t, they’re made acutely aware of your cause because you showed up in person. This is my greencard from last year.
Here is the EHRC Code of Practice in full. It's a tough read, but some highlights are:
Organisations can’t provide trans-inclusive, single-sex services, or they risk being sued for discrimination.
e.g. domestic violence support for women including trans women, men’s rugby group including trans men (12.68).
Trans people will have nowhere safe to pee.
If you’re a trans man, businesses can't allow you to pee in the men's, and you can also be ejected from women’s bathrooms if you’re perceived as a man. Vice versa for trans women. EHRC suggests a ‘third space’ bathroom, which is discriminatory and unworkable for most businesses. (13.130-133)
Sports organisations must exclude trans people from single-sex competitions (13.73).Â
A women’s only sports competition must exclude trans women because of their biological advantage or face potential lawsuits (13.74), but a trans man who has undergone testosterone treatment can also be excluded based on fairness rules (13.81).
Trans women are stripped of the legal definition of ‘lesbian’, and therefore no longer have legal protections if they’re discriminated against on the basis of sexual orientation. (2.50, 2.92).
