that one line of prophecy “The fall of the sun; the final verse” drives me crazy because the way rick has it unfold is so subtle. it’s spoken a total of four times (once in BoO, thrice in THO), was not elaborated at all (in fact the only time it was discussed by the characters was apollo stating he had no idea what it meant), never thought about again for the rest of ToA. and THEN, during the delphi fight in ToN, python’s (and the arrow’s) last line of prophecy (or rather—the final verse) of apollo’s trials foretells apollo falling into tartarus (and nearly chaos). if someone read the series for the first time, it would undoubtedly go unnoticed. i LOVE that subtlety and idk if it was intentional or not but it is definitely well appreciated.
