Friday, January 30: U.D.O., "Master of Disaster"
Every U.D.O. album after No Limits followed the same basic playbook, though some were heavier (and better) than others. Mastercutor fell into the heavier category and was indeed one of Udo Dirkschneider’s stronger post-Accept efforts even with the nonsense title, and “Master of Disaster” clanged and slammed and generally kicked ass. The track did find the band sort of trying some new things with its slight industrial feel including the clanging drums, effects and slight distortion on Udo’s vocals, but otherwise was the latest in a long line of U.D.O. chargers and stompers.
