This is going to be the last session. 

It’s been honestly amazing. Between the messages that get sent in shaping what happens and the content of memes/art/fic that’s been made from everyone... Over and over I’ve been bowled over by the genuine enjoyment and excitement for the blog.  I can’t think of how to emphasize how large it’s been to me without trying to compare it everything I’ve done in the past. (I imagine this is similar to what it feels like to DM.)

I realize that of course y’all that have been interacting and enjoying the blog have been doing it because it’s what you want to do, not to be nice to me or out of politeness or anything like that - but I want to sincerely thank you all because the interactions made this so much more. Also special thanks to @fexiled for becoming the artist of wwtd. To be frank, there’s not a lot of people I would feel comfortable with to make art as the photos posted on the blog, but Fex is one of them.

This is going to be the last session here... but I am planning a ‘small fun adventure’ in the summer. Think of it as a bonus ‘one shot’ for a single weekend only as a final farewell to wwtd.

Minor rambling more under the cut.

If Ford never received any messages, wwtd still would have been a lot of fun for me (hence why I even actually started it), but the interactions that brought up developments then unexpected changes turned it into a whole new story I wasn’t expecting and that was continually changing.

I made the option available for interaction because it seemed like a super fun twist with the live blogging in this new medium I could write paranoid ford through, but I sincerely didn’t expect Ford to get more than maybe 1 or 2 people semi-regularly sending in messages.

Also that bonus adventure? It really is only going to be a ‘one shot’ deal. It has a predestined stopping point, and something I always wanted with WWTD was for it to have an Official End. Which I do have to finish planning for it because I’m distracted currently, but I wanted to mention it before the end instead of after so it wouldn’t sound like a “waIT i actually have more” thing. There’s also still a chance I’ll call it off.

I want to do it, but only if I have that seal-tight predestined stopping point. And unfortunately, I don’t think I wrote any of my planning for it down because I was thinking of it back in November - whenever that ‘last session’ talk was going on last time. I thought I was going to end wwtd then we’d have the bonus one shot. tHEN I kinda wasn’t sure the mystery trio would make it all out alive so then the one shot wouldn’t have happened.

Basically as I’m picking through and organizing all the WWTD notes I’m gonna keep an eye out on if I DID have anything planned for it - and then think through it again regardless.

8. What do you wish alloromantics understood about us?

I think… the general confusion + understanding we have of romance.

We’re not naive babies that just don’t understand, but… I guess to just think of it more like we have an outsider perspective. 

You can learn a lot of stuff about something you’ve never seen or experienced, but there are just some things that can really only know by having gone through it yourself.

Like how it feels to get an electric shock though is something you can really only learn by it happening. Even if someone perfectly described it to you before you’d ever gotten shocked, you’d probably still be confused on “but what’s the difference between that and feeling like you’re walking on pins and needles or your arm falling asleep then feeling all static-y?” 

— Also just I guess to know that aros aren’t all romance repulsed and there’s varying levels on how people feel about it. It’s something that can also be really setting oriented, like on how much romance is around that week or just general mood.

12. What is something that helped you accept being aro?

The time I decided ‘you know what is a logical and good course of action? Go on a date with the one friend who likes you just to rule out any romantic attraction there’ then asking them out on a date wherein they said yes, and afterwards going into a panic for a good two hour span over being in a romantic setting before finally texting to cancel on that because there was not a single bit of myself that even thought it might be nice.

Okay, but for real - once I found there were OTHER people that were aromantic with the word immediately catching my attention and research quickly confirming what I thought. And it was this identity/trait/whatever you want to call it.

I mean I thought if I ever saw something about what I felt online that it would be alongside some articles about brain malfunctions and like in some list of neuro issues like ‘this boy is unable to recognize pain, this person goes into a stroke when they see the color red, and this person is incapable romantic emotions.’

Granted, I was already resolved under ‘you know what? this isn’t actually an issue for me, so i’m fine.’ Regardless, it was a big relief to find others and getting to read discussions of the subjects that actually… went somewhere between aromantics who could understand each other. 

16. what do you enjoy about being aro?

This is gonna sound ‘haha jokey’ but - getting to avoid a lot of dating issues. There are aros that date, but Oh my god I am definitely not one to date.

Colors are nice. Also ‘arrow’ aesthetic which also works well for me.

Honestly, getting to be apart of a community that puts a large front of importance on relationships outside of romantic ones. 

Ha, I’m trying not to say ‘the lack of romance’ because that is just straight coming from me being aro so of course there’s the lack of romance. That is seriously a great bonus to this though.

Ooh - a built in excuse for not wanting to watch romantic movies?
