Despite his gruff exterior and tendency to lash out, Bakugo is actually quite knowledgeable when it comes to academics. He may yell at his friends for "being extras," but he takes studying seriously as part of his goal to become the #1 hero.
When you first approach him about studying together for the 2 weeks before a major UA exam, Bakugo's immediate reaction is to scoff and reject the idea outright. "As if I'd waste my time with an extra like you," he sneers. But there's the slightest tint on his cheeks that gives away his state.
You persist, however, insisting that you'll cover any areas he struggles with as well in exchange. Begrudgingly, Bakugo agrees, muttering something about you "getting in the way of his own studies."
In the quiet of the library, with just the two of you poring over textbooks, Bakugo's typical bravado melts away. You catche yourself stealing glances at him, admiring the determined furrow of his brow as he does his work, or when he's in deep focus trying to asses if you made any visible mistakes you could correct together.
To your surprise, Bakugo is an incredibly patient and effective tutor when he's in this mellowed-out headspace. He explains concepts clearly, using vivid metaphors that stick in your mind. "Imagine the laws of physics are the verbal lashings pushing you in the right direction," he says with unexpected wisdom.
There are even times when you manage to grasp an idea before he does, and rather than exploding in frustration, Bakugo simply blinks and asks you to walk him through it again. The shift in his usual demeanor is so jarring that you have to pinch yourself to make sure it's really happening.
When you nail a particularly tricky practice question, pride blooms in your chest when his crimson eyes read it over, a small nod of acknowledgement. "Not bad, (L/N)..." he mumbles, his voice softer than you've ever heard it. "Keep that up and you might not be such a dead weight after all."
There's an unguarded tenderness to the way he watches you work 1 week in, his usual scowls relaxing into the microscopic hint of a smile that makes your heart flutter in your chest. In these quiet moments, you catch glimpses of the real Bakugo hiding underneath all that bluster.
Of course, the blustery Bakugo inevitably resurfaces when your study sessions end and you return to the hustle of the classroom. He'll loudly berate you for taking so long or getting distracted. But you'll just smile to yourself, knowing you've seen the explosive boy's almost serene side.
As you leave the library, wondering how someone so coarse could also be so attentive and insightful, Bakugo watches you go in silence before regrouping with his friends.
By the time your test rolls around, you're prepared and confident thanks to Bakugo's tutelage. And while he'd never admit it out loud, there's a part of him that hopes you'll ask for his "help" again very soon. Maybe in the next terms exam.

It was a dark Saturday evening, your father, Diego, was out doing... whatever Diego does on a dark Saturday evening. So, you decided, what better to do than hang out with your favourite uncle, Uncle Klaus. You rolled out of bed and reached for the phone. Klaus was never busy on a Saturday, usually he would spend his Saturdays with you, so you called him and told him to come pick you up. He agreed, excitedly talking about what he had planned.
"Oh my, dear, dear (Y/N/N), you will LOVE what I have planned today!"
Intrigued, you questioned what he meant however he refused to tell you. Excited to find out what he meant, you rushed to get ready and waited to hear the honk of the horn to tell you that Klaus was there and ready to collect you.

As you finished doing your hair, you heard the HONK and rushed to put your shoes on and get out of the house. As you shut and locked the door, you turned around to be greeted with the sight of your uncle sat in his car with a child-like smile on his face. Quickly, you walked up to the car, pulled the door open, and sat down next to your uncle.
"Will you tell me what we're doing now?"
"Nope, no chance, you'll find out soon enough!"
As you drove further into the city, you were greeted with bright, fun-coloured lights and you felt the car slow down. Finally, you realised what Klaus had planned. He was taking you to a carnival. You grinned happily, and looked over to Klaus. As you pulled into the parking lot, you got hit with memories from years back when you went to the carnival with Klaus and your dad.
You got out of the car and Klaus grabbed you by the sleeve and dragged you to some of the rides. You screamed from the thrill and held onto your uncle on the rides. Laughs and shrieks of happiness were all that emanated from you and your uncle. Dizzy from the rides, you stumbled over to the cotton candy stands, you giggled as you shared it with your uncle. He reached into his pockets and realised quickly he didn't have enough money to keep paying for all the fun things the both of you wanted.
"Hey, (Y/N/N)? Don't tell your Dad about what I'm about to do."
You looked at him, perplexed, as he stood from the bench and walked over to a wealthy-looking man. You sat there, staring at him, unknowing to what he was about to do. Sneakily, he reached into the mans pockets and pickpocketed some money. You gasped but as Klaus held a finger to his lips playfully you couldn't help but let out a small laugh. You knew Klaus shouldn't be doing that but you were used to a lot of his illegal shenanigans.
Before he could get too far from the man, the victim of the theft realised what had happened and turned around to see Klaus with his money. You heard the man shout and he began to chase Klaus and you. You shot up from the bench, hearing a string of 'Shit!' fall from Klaus' mouth. You ran as fast as you could with your uncle, you ran through some attractions, hoping to lose the man. The man hadn't lost you and Klaus but he had been significantly slowed down so there was now quite a bit of distance between you and the man. You managed to make it to the car and threw yourselves in and sped off before the man could reach you.
As you slowed down, realising the man couldn't get to you anymore, the panic wore off and you and Klaus began to laugh hysterically. You laughed about the incident all the way back to your house. After a long day, you both stumbled into the living room. Too tired to change or even go up to your room, you and klaus collapsed onto the couch and fell asleep quickly.
As chaotic as it was, you deemed it a pretty successful day.

You were currently sitting at one of the many wooden table in the lobby of the Hotel Obsidian with your father, and uncles, Klaus, Luther and Five. Five was ranting about something to do with doppelgangers, at least you thought. To be honest, you didn't care as the matter didn't concern you all that much- as far as you knew. That's when your dad suddenly had a look of confusion and shock upon his features and, before anyone could question him or his odd behaviour, he fled from his seat and hurriedly dashed from the room.. Bewilderment evidently took over your features, what on earth has caused your dad to go from a state of calm and conteness to one of fluster and panic? Your uncles paid no mind to it, listening intently to Five and his ramblings.
Soon after everyone departed, going off to do whatever they wished, you took off in search of your father. You shuffled awkwardly out of your seat and followed the same way Diego had gone fifteen minutes ago, give or take. Finally the elevator doors slid open to reveal both a familiar and an unfamiliar face. One being your dad, pale and perplexed, the other being a child, seemingly around 12. The ping! of the elevator door alerted Diego and the boy of your presence and they turned to look at you. The boy's face contorted into a grimace, appearing to be disgusted by your presence, whilst your dad's remained the same.
"Uhm... Dad? Who's the.. uh.. kid?" you enquired.
" (Y/N), this is... your brother, Stanley." he hesitantly replied.
A look of horror flashed across your face, in your midst of shock you call out,

"Allegedly, my son." your father chimed in, hastily correcting your giggling uncle.
"Oh, is that what you said about me as well?" you called out, overhearing their little exchange. You moved to sit beside the two whilst Stanley sat by himself, wasting no time in stuffing his face.
"No, you were different!" he huffed "I knew you were my daughter!" You raised your eyebrow quizzically, questioning how he knew this for definite. Catching on rather speedily he murmured,
"I did a DNA test when you were little, I don't know how on earth I'd get a test ,that determines whether or not that little shit is my son, right now."
Seemingly out of nowhere, your Uncle Five appeared. He had somehow known about your fathers (alleged) and had a rather significant query relating to the situation.
"Wait- who's.. who's the mother..?"
"Lila.'" your father deadpanned, you proceeding to a spit take.
"THE CRAZY BITCH WHO LITERALLY TRIED TO DECIMATE OUR WHOLE FAMILY BARELY TWENTY-FOUR AGO?" you were only met with an eye roll from your father and a mutter of agreement from Klaus.
"Lila's here?!" Five exclaimed, ignoring the scene you had just created.
"Was," your dad replied, once again having to correct one of his brothers "she dropped him off in my lap last night then bolted."
"Again, is that how you described me?"
Your father, once again, ignored you and you stood up, becoming bored with the conversation, joining the preteen boy at his table. He looked you up and down before returning to his food. You began a lousy, disengaging conversation with the boy.

you both had a wonderful time, and by the end of the night your mother was already discussing marriage decor.

It was difficult — you had known it would be all those years ago, when you first met her — but you’d never expected it to draft out for so long. Of course, you’d support Vanya no matter what, but after years of a relationship, a marriage, you finally asked if she was planning on coming out to her family. She’d once joked that she only saw her family ‘at weddings and at funerals’, but you knew she missed them, and didn’t doubt that they loved her and would support her.
So that was how you ended up comforting her on the steps of her old home, trying to coax her into letting you knock, “Vanya, you can’t back away now, you’re whole family’s there. And I’ll be there with you for the whole time, there’s nothing to worry about,” you pressed a kiss to her forehead, “I love you.”
“I’m sorry, let’s just go in,” she said, and you rapped on the door.
You wondered into the house together — despite the stories you’d heard, you’d never actually been inside the place where your girlfriend had grown up.
“Vanya!” There was a shriek behind you and a mess of a leather skirt and curly hair barrelled into her in a suffocating hug. Klaus. The only sibling you’d actually met, and the only sibling who knew that you were Vanya’s long-term girlfriend, “and YN!!” He continued excitedly, pulling you into a tight embrace. When he released you, it was because of the quiet cough behind you.
Pogo stood, stooped over his cane, next Grace, who also hugged you.
“A pleasure to meet you,” she said with a warm smile.
“The pleasure is all mine,” you assured her.
“Miss YN, how are you?” Pogo asked, and the five of you, well four (Klaus wasn’t really contributing) indulged in some small talk.
“Who’s this?” Came a gruff voice from behind you, and you turned to see three men, who you believed to be Luther, Diego and Five.
“Diego,” Vanya said imploringly, “please don’t.”
“Don’t what?” He said, raising an eyebrow at you. Luther looked down at his brother condescendingly and Five sighed.
“I’m Five,” he shook your hand, “the giant is Luther and the edgy one is Diego. Where’s Allison?” He asked Pogo.
“Right here,” a tall lady said, appearing from nowhere, “you must be YN, Vanya’s friend?”
You glanced at Vanya, “uh, yeah. That’s me.”
“Dinner is ready, let’s get going!” Grace said cheerfully.

Dinner was lovely. It was cooked to perfection, and probably the best meal you’d had in a long time. It was only once plates had been emptied and small talk was dying down that Vanya spoke up.
“Guys, I need to tell you something.” She said, and you squeezed her hand under the table in reassurance. Klaus seemed to work out what was happening and, for the first time since you’d met him, didn’t say anything, “YN isn’t my friend,” the group glanced at each other, then at you, in confusion, “she’s my wife.”
Luther nodded slowly, trying to process what was happening; Diego narrowed his eyes at you — purely in a way that was protective of his sister; Allison smiled at you; Klaus was barely containing his glee. Five nodded at you in recognition while Pogo smiled and Grace hugged you, “officially welcoming you to the family.”
You looked at you girlfriend, a small smile played on her lips and that in itself made you smile.
A few minutes later, Vanya excused herself from the table to go to the toilet, and all the siblings turned on you.
“How long?” Luther started.
“If you hurt her I’ll-“ Diego interrupted.
“Diego!” Allison warned.
“What I just-“
“And wife, how come none of us were invit-“
“Guys,” Klaus shouted over the bickering siblings, “stop arguing and ask something useful — like how the met. Or show her embarrassing baby photos.”
Just as he said the last part, Vanya entered, “please, no baby photos!”
