I guess it’s finally time I made one of these!! 

Hey there, my name is Anju! You probably haven’t heard of me, since I’m pretty low in ranking... I actually mostly work with the police! I’m also going to be teaching a hand-to-hand class soon too! You’ll most definitely be meeting me then! Oh-- and if you’re in class 1A this year... We’ve already met! lol 

Uhh... I like long walks on the beach... Must love dogs... You know, all that jazz.

There’s an explosion.

The smoke that rises from the high security prison, famous for containing all of the most dangerous villains in Japan, is strangely red. The massive hole created by the explosion yawns open as the smoke billows forth, turning the sky a sickening red, choking all the air in the immediate area. For a moment, nothing happens.  A single, long spidery looking limb pokes out of the hole, hauling a villain out of the prison. He easily scales down the prison walls on many, long, thin insect legs. If there were a camera pointed at the scene, which there absolutely is, it would look like a massive spider crawling down the billowing building. Except that it has far too many legs. 

When the villain reaches the ground, the spider legs seem to retract inside his body, making a horrifying sucking noise. He stands calmly now on two legs, looking like a regular man once more. And even though he has no eyes, he gazes calmly at the camera.

A smile creeps across his face, almost seeming to spit his face in two as he bares all his teeth. 

And then he disappears, turning and stepping into the red smoke. 

Not even a moment passes before villains begin to pour out of the hole that All For One created in the prison wall.  @ua-list

The flash of a camera was familiar. She saw it out of the corner of her eye, and suddenly Jirou was back in primary school, watching her parents play with their band with wide eyes. Watching the cameras flash. Feeling the excitement as the crowd roared, feeling the vibrations of the stage run through the stage and up and down her body.

But the cheering this time wasn't for her parents. She wasn't behind a stage. She was standing on the sidewalk, a villain lying down on the ground beside her, unconscious. She was breathing heavily and her noise cancellation was the only reason that her ears weren't ringing. But it didn't matter if she couldn't hear it, because the excitement in the air was beyond noise. She could feel it humming in her skin. She grinned at the crowd, the brightest external expression of happiness she'd felt in awhile.

The feeling faded after a moment, as good things often do, to the blaring sound of an alarm clock. But 11 year old Jirou didn't wake up exhausted in the morning as she usually did. She woke up with a sense of purpose, an unfamiliar small smile across her face. The dream meant something, she thought. She was going to be a pro hero when she grew up. The smile faded after a moment, replaced with a look of horror.

How was she going to tell her parents?

After tacking the announcement to the bulletin board, Momo takes a step back to stop and really… look at it. She can’t help but think back to Hagakure and Aoyama’s visit to her room the other day, back to the surprise she had felt at receiving such an innocent, well-intentioned visit. It was strange to see others finding such initiative to move forward, especially when she was… stuck like… this.

(She’s not quite sure what… this is, but she knows that she should be better. She has to be better.)

It’s a good idea and she knows that it is: even if Christmas is a holiday that’s not really celebrated here, it’s a good opportunity to raise everyone’s spirits after all that’s happened. And that’s what Momo’s supposed to be thinking about… How to make things better for the others. It’s not good for her to keep being distracted like this.

Asking her for help with the logistical elements of the event certainly makes sense from their perspective, and Momo can do nothing but hope that she lives up to their expectations. After all… they could all use some cheering up, couldn’t they? She manages a small smile at this thought, turning her attention to the digital copy of the poster on her smartphone. All that’s left to do is spread the word and hope that people actually signed up. With that, she posts the image to her blog and hopes for the best.
