Lost City

I want to get lost in the city,

And see where it takes me.

I want to know what adventures I’ll find

And what can occupy my time.

I want to get lost in the city

Where the lights shine bright.

The city where I find new things

That are pleasing to the sight.

I want to meet new people

Everywhere I go.

It’s doesn’t matter how long they stay,

For I know one day they’ll have to go.

I know this is a petty rhyme.

I haven’t written in while.

I want to get lost in the city

Where my poems will be worthwhile.
