URPRISE!!! THIS YEAR AT APIRG WE ARE ABLE TO GIVE YOU ANOTHER OPPORTUNITY TO GAIN RESOURCES FOR THE WONDERFUL EVENTS AND PROJECTS YOU ARE WORKING ON OR DREAMING OF!!!
Funding can look like lots of things, from monetary support ( for speakers, venues, food, accesibility concerns, etc) to non-monetary support (photocopying, meeting space, network support, high-fives). So take a moment to think about what APIRG can do to support you, your communities and the INCREDIBLE work you do/want to do.
As per our mission statement, APIRG provides students and community members with funding for research and social engagement projects working in the public interest.
In addition to funding, APIRG provides administrative, informational and technological resources to help students transform social concern into effective action. We also facilitate opportunities for skill development through internships, educational events, public campaigns and partnerships with community organizations.
SPRING FUNDING IS SPECIFICALLY FOR EVENTS AND PROJECTS meaning one-time funding and support to help groups and individual students to:
-Organize a speaker or speakers series with specific start and end dates
-Organize an event or series of events with specific start and end dates
-Undertake a project with specific start and end dates (e.g. publish a research project).
-Attend a conference or training if part of a larger project.
deadline for applications is APRIL 12, at 5 pm

APIRG is located on Indigenous Territories and explicitly acknowledges that as we work towards identifying, challenging, and addressing intersections of oppression, it is critical to confront the ongoing practices of colonization of indigenous peoples and the land on which we live.
