I always bear in mind a comment you made a while back about Roy’s relationship with Crystal being the longest and most stable of his life. So even though he doesn’t have any romantic feelings for Crystal, he’s going to be profoundly affected by her absence. He’s not even aware of how deeply yet.

Absolutely. I was actually a bit surprised that people would think she may not- Crystal’s probably the smartest person in my story! XD And just between you, me and the lamp-post, Roy’s favourite sex act would have absolutely no chance at all of making anybody pregnant anyway. AND say for argument’s sake that Crystal was with another client and the condom broke- she’d be off to the clinic the very next day, not only for the morning after pill but to get all the relevant STD tests. Her vagina’s her livelihood and a good businesswoman knows you’ve got to protect your livelihood, right?
