So....where my Vikings people at? Just putting it out there, but would anyone be interested in a little bit of smut drabble/smut one shot featuring Ubbe?
Or perhaps, his dad?
Because let’s be fair, they’re both fine as hell and if I have enough interest, I’ll likely write one for both anyway, hahaha!
Eadgyth, what did you think of Ubbe when you first saw him?
Eadgyth pretended not to notice Ubbe standing behind her, “Slightly acceptable.” She tried to hide her smirk.
He cleared his throat, “Is that so? Acceptable?”
He shifted closer, folding his arms across his chest. Having him towering over her should make Eadgyth feel threatened, but somehow she knew Ubbe wouldn’t harm her.
The notion he cared about her opinion on him was satisfying and a wave of pride washed over her. The longer she held back her answer, the longer Ubbe would be at her mercy. Eadgyth thought it was the most powerful she felt since her brother sent her on the journey to the nunnery.
Ubbe raised his eyebrows and tilted his head as he waited for Eadgyth’s answer.
Eadgyth nodded, "Uh huh! Slightly.”
Ubbe stared at her, his lips twitching almost imperceptibly, “If I say you’re the most beautiful woman I’ve ever seen, I would be lying.”
Eadgyth glared at him through narrowed eyes and Ubbe grinned, "You’re so much more than that. You’re brave, wise and compassionate.”
She glanced at her feet, biting her lips not to smile at his flattery. People called her beautiful before, but to hear she was more than her appearance was making her heart beat faster than ever before.
Eadgyth dared to glance up at him, trying to understand if he was sincere and regretted immediately. He was gazing down at her with a smile tugging at the corner of his mouth. Eadgyth feared what his eyes were pleading for, and for how long she would be able to resist.
Thanks for this sweet ask. It’s the first time I receive one of those and I hope my answer was not disappointing. ^^
“No, you aren’t. If you were, you would turn away quicker.”
The room had gone cold the moment he walked in. You told him to wait. You told him you didn’t want to be seen by anyone. You sent that message with Bjorn after he hauled your lifeless body back to camp. But, since he was here now, you wanted him to look. To turn him away now before you healed into the monster you had become.
The wounds you’d sustained were nothing. It was nothing until you couldn’t feel your limbs. It was nothing until you tasted blood despite never being cut across the throat, or even on the lip. The slash across your spine from tail to neck nearly severed your vertebrae; you may walk again, but it was still uncertain. Even worse, another warrior you fought had swung his axe blade side down into the side of your face, shattering your cheekbone. Your eye had popped a few blood vessels, freckling red into the white, and your face was disfigured. Through the patch job he could see the indent, the ridge in your new face.
“Remember the time...when you told me you had seen Odin? When he came to you...about your father,” you asked with ragged breath. The pain was worse when you spoke. “I have seen him now as well.”
“Shh,” Ubbe said. “I know that hurts. Don’t further your pain hvatvetna ...please.”
“It furthers my pain to be quiet!” you insisted. “I will never fight again...never walk...”
“Stop,” he mumbled. You looked over at him, the lack of anger in your face disturbing him. Like you were indeed lifeless.
“You will fight again. The gods know what a great warrior you are. We need you. Odin, who you’ve seen now...needs you.”
“You need me,” you corrected. “But you are wrong...to need me.”
“Then let me be wrong. Let me learn from my mistakes the hard way,” he shrugged, sitting down at your bedside. “They cannot be called mistakes until they are proven wrong to do.”
You sat up and stared into his eyes. Ubbe was always insistent that nobody should ever give up. Using the logic that if his father had given up, he would’ve never even existed. Always the fighter...you were unable to cry, it would hurt too much...
You took his hand in yours and put your other hand overtop it. Starting your speech of trying to convince him you were done, this was the end and he was better off searching for someone else as soon as possible, he hushed you again. It hurt to speak so much, so silently you were thankful, but outward you seemed angered until he kissed the top of your head.
“I will not lose you,” he said, nodding slightly to himself as if he was confirming it in his own heart. “You are my hugr. My everything.”
You woke up out of yourdreams by Ubbe who moved aside you. You squeezed your eyes together, mutteringsomething as you rolled on your back. ‘Sleep.’ He whispered, pressing his lipsagainst your forehead before he moved away. It the first minute you didn’tthought, you were still to far away to realize he was sneaking away at night. It was when you asked yourself why that you fully woke up, sitting up to seehim walk out with Hvitserk. Things didn’t went that good with Ubbe and Ivar, ever since Sigurd died. Despite that Ivar did his part here in York, Ubbewanted other things. You pushed up out the bed, grabbed your belt, bow andarrows and followed them outside. He assembled some men, they took horses andleft. You knew where to … Aethelwulf. You looked back to the place you weresleeping on before you ran outside and took a horse of yourself. They went into thecamp while you hide out in the nearby forest. What was he doing? Striking adeal? How by the gods would he get that together? How much you hated Ivar forbeing like this … but in this he was right, you couldn’t strike a bargain withthose Christians, not after all they did. You looked up to the tree, jumping upbefore you pulled yourself into the tree. As one of the best archers Ubbealways had his eyes on you. It took him a while to get you but he did and the memoryalways lighted your smile. As you installed yourself on the tree you pulled outan arrow, measuring the angle and power you would need to kill anybody whowould touch one of the brothers. In all the waiting you got concerned untilthey were leaded outside before that bishop. You couldn’t see it from this farbut the fact they got surrounded didn’t mean anything good. You pulled thestring back, aiming for the man closest to Ubbe. A small smile and youreleased, putting the camp in immediate state of attack as you shoot anotherarrow. Hvitserk and Ubbe started running. Consumed by the wound Ubbe had youdidn’t saw the arrow coming, scrapingyour ribs painfully before you fell out the tree. ‘Y/n!’ Hvitserk hissed. Youpushed up, looking at Ubbe his face as you gasped for breath. What have theydone?‘What the hell wereyou thinking!?’ Ubbe stated angry the soon he was alone with you. ‘What was Ithinking? You are the one going there against Ivar. You were the one who coulddie!’ You breathed out, wanting to clean up his face but he slapped your handsaway as you came closer. ‘I asked you to stay.’ He hissed angry, walking fortand back. ‘You know I tend to not listen.’ ‘It could have got you killed!’ Heshouted and you froze. He never yelled like that against you. You looked downto the ground, taking a step back for him and whole his expression changed. ‘Y/n,’he started softly. He slowly stepped closer but you didn’t look up until hecupped your face. ‘I can’t loose you to. I lost a brother, I will raise waragainst another, please don’t let me loose you in the process.’ He whispered. He was in pain, he was broken down in the situation. You slowly looked up tohim, laying your hand over his that rested against your face. ‘You won’t, youhave to let me support you Ubbe, I can’t loose you either.’ You said tenderlyback. He signed, pulling your head against his good side, kissing your temple.‘I’m sorry.’ He whispered. You closed your eyes, enjoying the body that couldhave been killed hours ago. ‘You are important to me to.’ You said whilepulling back. He laid his hand under your chin and pressed his lips in a softmanor against yours. You smiled in the kiss, opening your eyes to his slicedopen face. ‘Let me take care of you.’ You gestured. His fingers stroke yourcheek, your neck before he let go of you, obeying your request in sitting down.
Hi : ) Please can I request numbers 27, 92 and 100 with Ubbe? Thank you x
Of course you can! 😘
Since I had an Ubbe request a few days ago, and the prompts fitted together perfectly, I made this one into a sequel. The first one you can read here.
Hope you’ll like it!
***Ubbe was planting kisses all over your back and shoulders, while you were laying naked, your head buried into the pillows. Tomorrow you’ll be leaving back to Kattegat, and no matter the talk you had with Ubbe the other day, you couldn’t help but feel anxious.
The past few months with him were more than pleasurable and you didn’t want to lose that, but the thought of him having a wife back home crept into your head again, making you think about staying and fighting for Ivar’s cause rather than facing the consequences of your own decisions and your own deeds. A cowardly behavior for a fierce shield maiden like you, some would say. It was easy for you to risk your life in battle, it was a thing you were used to. But the situation you were in now, the battle that was on the horizon, that was new. It scared you. What if he decides to stay with Margrethe? What if, once he sees her again, he realizes he still loves her? What if you were just a nice little distraction, a toy? But he wanted you to come with him, now did he? He told you you’ll make it work, but what if you don’t?
Buried deep in your thoughts, you didn’t hear Ubbe calling out your name, until he started to tickle you, knowing that will make you kick, scream, and finally pay attention to him. “There, Y/N!” He said, “now that I have your attention, I would like to know what it is that’s troubling that pretty head of yours?”
You tilted your head and pressed your lips together, leaning back on the wall, your gaze pointed at the ceiling. You didn’t want to trouble him with the same issues once more, but truth be told, he never gave you a concrete solution or an answer to this entire thing. How does one accept “I don’t know how, but we’ll handle it” as an answer? It wasn’t that simple matter to handle and your mind was filling with doubts. “It’s about Margrethe again, is it Y/N?”
You nodded silently, in fear of speaking a word, so you wouldn’t start crying. If there’s something you hated in this world, beside your enemies, it was appearing weak in front of others. “Y/N, we talked about it.”“No, not really”, you managed to whisper. He pulled you closer, cupped your face with his hands and made you look at him.“I might not have all the answers you want right now Y/N, but it doesn’t make me love you less, ok? Margrethe will have to accept the fact that you make me happy. You’re the only one I wanna wake up next to!”“You mean it?” You squeaked silently, barely controlling your voice, and those tears that were hidden behind your eyelids. The two of you were still far from the solution, and you were aware of that, but you had to believe in him. “Now, kiss me?” he whispered, leaning closer to you, and you gladly obliged.
Can I also request “How is my wife more badass than me?” with Ubbe please?
Thanks for requesting! 💜Warnings: none.
Theupcoming raid promised to be one of the largest you would ever live. The shoresof Kattegat were filled with boats and people running around to charge it withweapons and food. You made your way through them, a small and satisfied smilestuck on your face since Ubbe asked you to join them. It would be yourfirst raid and you thoroughly prepared yourself for it. Becoming one of the best andimpressing your husband, that was your goals.
You stoppedin front of a boat. It belonged to the Ragnarssons; you could recognize Floki’sfine work everywhere.
“Will yoube on that boat tomorrow morning?” A voice cut your thoughts. It was a youngman. Tall, broad shoulders, biceps prominent; it was surely a warrior. He had astupid smirk crooking his lips and something unpleasant was sparkling into hiseyes.
“Possible.”You simply answered, not wanting this conversation to go further.
He grinned and approached you, “I will be on this boat. You’re a shieldmaiden, right? Make sure to climb on it tomorrow. Maybe we could… you know… get acquainted during the long journey upon the sea.”
Younarrowed your eyes and took a step back. “Do you know who I am?”
“I don’t,but as I said, I will have plenty free time to discover you.” He drifted hiseyes lower and raised his brows. “You and that fabulous ass.” He bit his lipsand gave you a hard slap across your rear.
You reacted immediately. Catching his hand, you twisted it as far as you could behind his back and used your foot to hit behind his knees. The man fell hard and let out a strangled pained noise. You managed to harshly lie him down, straddled him and quickly took your blade to press it under his chin.
“My name is Y/N, I am the wife of Ubbe Ragnarsson. Next time you touch me or any other woman without consent, I will cut off each finger you have and believe me when I say I’ll make it as slowly and as painful as possible. Do you understand?” You threatened huskily.
The man hadno choice but to nod carefully. You pressed the blade a little harder, enoughto draw blood out of him for good measure.
“Good.” Yousaid before standing up.
Thealtercation attracted the attention of every person present on the shores. Youblushed a little as they all stared at you silently. You cleared your throatawkwardly, and before you could tell them to get going with their tasks, someoneapplauded.
Ubbe walked towards you, madly grinning as he pushed his way through the crowd. You mimicked him and met him halfway, throwing your arms around his neck. You took a moment to inhale his comforting smell and tightened your embrace.
“Did you see everything?” You murmured against his skin.
Ubbe chuckled, slithering his arms around your waist. “I did.”
“And?”
“And I have three things to say. One, seeing you pressing your knife at his throat was so hot and you have no idea how much I’m restraining myself to pin you against the nearest wall and fuck you senseless.” He whispered, almost moaned against your ear, rising goosebumps all over your skin. “Two, I will make sure that man doesn’t climb on our boat tomorrow. And three, I have an important question, how is my wife more badass than me?”
You burstwith laughter and loosened your grip around his neck. You could see the prideglittering into his eyes mixed with burning lust, making your stomach twistdeliciously.
“I learnwith the best.” You smirked before catching his hand. “Now, what about youroffer to fuck me senseless?” Biting your lip cheekily, you dragged a laughingand needy Ubbe to your bed.
You were in the training yard, alone, trying to lose yourself in the rhythmic ‘thump’ of ax after ax hitting the target. You were having trouble though, missing the center of the target more often than not. You were distracted by the very worries you had been trying to hide from.
“(Y/N)” Ubbe’s voice suddenly came from somewhere behind you. In your shock you accidentally dropped the ax you were holding as you turned to face him. The blade manged to catch your hand as it fell.
“Ah.” You hissed in pain and looked quickly down at your hand which was now bleeding. Ubbe saw what happened in the same moment you did and closed the space between you in a flash.
“(Y/N), I’m sor-”
“It’s alright, I’m alright.” You interrupted him pulling away from him and putting pressure on the cut with your other hand. Ubbe tried to pull you back to him with a hand on your arm.
“Let me see it.” Ubbe tried to get a look at the cut so he could help. You knew that he only wanted to help, but right now you were not in a place to face anyone right now. The idea of Ubbe worrying over you was even less appealing.
“I can take care of it myself.” You huffed. Turning away you walked toward the water so you could rinse your hand.
“(Y/N), just let me help you.” He called after you as he followed.
“I said I can handle it.” Ubbe sighed at your expected response. He had known you for far too long to not understand why you were acting like this. He also knew that this was not about your hand, but about what was going on with your sister. He jogged to catch up to you so that you that he could run up in front of you and stop you by placing his hands on your shoulders.
“(Y/N) stop and look at me for a moment.” You were forced to face him as he spoke. “I know that you think you always have to be the strong one, but sometimes it’s okay to let someone else take care of you. That is all I’m trying to do, so please let me take care of you.” He was earnest and you knew then that he was not just talking about your hand. You held your breath for a long moment before sighing and finally giving in, nodding at him. Ubbe felt relief as he guided you to the water. You both sat down on stools and he held your injured hand gingerly in his. He spoke as rinsed your hand.
“Look, we both know that what your feeling, and you pushing me away just now. They have nothing to do with this.” He gestured with a nod of his head at your hand. “We both know this is about you sister, about her being sick and you fearing for her life.” Ubbe spoke the truth and hearing it out loud made your throat suddenly tighten and tears start to sting at your eyes. “But I know that is not everything so what else is hurting you?” As Ubbe finished rinsing away the blood, he found that the injury was not as bad as believed and reached for cloth to wrap it in. You took the moment to piece together a proper answer to his question.
“I feel useless.” Your words caused Ubbe confusion which was evident in the look he gave you. “I’m used to having an enemy to fight, used to solving my issues with an ax and protecting those I love with a sword. My sister though... she is sick and there’s nothing I can do to help her. I cannot fight her illness for her, I cannot protect her from it, I cannot do anything.” You fought against the tears that were threatening to fall. Ubbe had finished wrapping your hand as you spoke. He then took it between both of his and looked up to meet your eyes.
“I cannot imagine how that must feel, and I am sorry that I cannot change the way things are. I want you to remember this though your sister has the same strength in her that you do. I believe that she can fight this, I believe that she will be well again. You are one of the strongest people I have met and so is she.” You listed to him trying to take his words to heart, to let them give you some comfort.
“Thank you Ubbe, I hope that you are right.” He reached over to wrap and arm around your shoulders as he pressed a soft kiss to your temple.
“Now, come.” He stood holding his hand out to you. “We should get you to a proper healer to look at your hand and then we will go to see your sister. Let her know that she is not fighting alone.” You nodded, before taking his hand as he pulled you up from the stool.
