OKAY SO y’all probably know I’m a uni student at the University of British Columbia and really big into constructed languages yeah?? Well, I’m actually running a survey on the relationship between language and mental wellbeing!

I’m working under the supervision of Dr. Christine Schreyer at the UBCO campus. The survey explores how a constructed language might help people better talk about feelings of anxiety. It is fully anonymous and will take approximately 30 minutes of your time. You must be 18 years old to participate.

So since I’m too lazy to write in an actual handwritten diary now.

Let’s kinda make this my new diary.

I’m finally done with midterms!! Did my last one today! And if I graduate, I’m done with midterms for my entire undergraduate degree!!! I’m doing well in p chem, somewhat well in biochem basis of disease… failed my second physics midterm so not so much. I’m so behind in physics it’s not a joke. I’ve been so lazy about it, but I take comfort in knowing this one engineering dude from my school didn’t pay attention at all for all four classes and had to grind shit out in two days. I squeak by with very vague understanding with the tutorials and labs, but that’s it haha I’m dead for the final.

I’m the kid who mooches off other peoples (physics), but also the kid who gives out the assignment answers in another class (p chem) so I think that balances things out.

I only have two finals this year - p chem and physics. I’ll have around two weeks to prepare for both bc I’m planning to start studying for both by this Friday. I feel SO behind on p chem too even though that’s the only class I actually pay diligent attention to haha. Because I need it and am actually interested in the material.

Unlike my other two classes lol. Biochem diseases is okay but the prof makes me hate the course (and his guts).

I joined iGEM! Saw them post on Instagram about a month back. Then an opportunity came and I literally “applied” through discord and now I’m on the team. It’s a long summer research project until the end of October. We are supposed to come up with an idea, design/build it from scratch, and then present it in Paris in October. The team’s cool and my physics lab TA is on it too lol. So far, we have two ideas… and idk if it’s just me but I’m kinda not feeling it anymore lol.

Idk what’s wrong with me, but maybe I’m just burnt out.

I also got a job opportunity which I submitted my resume and shit for today. So nervous. Full time during the summer, paid, going to be working on airborne diseases and shit. Literally this came up a week after I joined iGEM I think.

So I’m having a mid-life crisis rn.

Electric utility bike startup Ubco raises $10 million

Has increased $10 million to finance a international growth centered in the U.S. economy and scale its own commercial subscription service enterprise.

Electrical motorbike that resembles a dirt bike but cries like a moped. What started as a way for farmers to become about pastures and farms easily, safely and rapidly has enlarged to include things like an urban version of the bicycle that caters to fleet business clients, gig market employees and town riders.

Since its founding at 2015, the Business has generated two Variations of its 145-pound utility bicycle: The Function bicycle, the first off-road car, along with the Adventure Bicycle, the more recent version that is created for town riding but may manage itself off-road.
