How Google Glass Could Change Sports
Athletes Coaches Imagine as a coach being able to see the first person perspective of your players. This would completely change how coaches review practice and game film and offer coaches a look into exactly what their players are seeing on the field. Fans With Glass, fans can get hands free access to any information they want. Without taking your eyes off the action you could check the box scores, player stats and bios, and possibly even order food from the concession stands! We've already seen an early look at at Blue, a Glass app designed to enhance the baseball fan's in-game experience.
The difference between 60 fps and 30 fps
With iOS 7 select Apple devices are now capable of recording in 60 frames per second (iPhone 5c, iPhone 5, iPad mini & iPod Touch 5g). The iPhone 5s even records up to 120 FPS! To help you understand the difference between filming in 60 frames per second versus 30 we offer the following explanation and video example. FPS is the number of frames recorded in 1 second so at 30 fps there are 30 frames recorded in one second and at 60 fps, it'll be 60 frames. It does not control the speed at which the video is played back. Think of frames as individual pictures so with 60 frames in a second, you're going to see finer scrubbing since there are more frames to work with. EXAMPLE: Let's say a golf swing takes 2 seconds. Thats 60 frames at 30 fps or 120 at 60 fps.
Turning on the microphone permission in iOS 7
In iOS 7 it is required to grant apps access to the microphone in order to record videos. The first time you press the record button you will see a dialogue box to grant access. If you decline, you will not be able to record and will see the following error message. You can turn on the microphone permission by following these steps: Step 1 Go to the settings app on your iPhone or iPad. Find the privacy option in settings. Step 2 In the privacy settings go to the microphone option. Step 3 Make sure the Ubersense app is turned on. Once it's turned on you will be able to record new videos.

Introducing: Ubersense and TrackMan Partnership
Ubersense Golf, the golf video analysis and instruction app, today announced a major partnership with TrackMan, the industry leader in golf swing and ball flight analysis technology. TrackMan is a radar-based solution for analyzing the impact conditions and resulting ball flight in golf. TrackMan provides the industry's most accurate real-time data and graphics on ball launch, flight, and landing. This is part of our ongoing effort to bring the best golf instructional content to help golfers improve at their game. The partnership will provide users of the Ubersense Golf app with access to hundreds of player model swing videos from professional golfers including new U.S. Open Champion Justin Rose, PGA Tour pros, such as Nick Faldo and Kevin Streelman, as well as European Tour and LPGA players, such as Francisco Molinari and Belen Mozo. Each video will have specific TrackMan player stats, unique to each player and swing. Among the information will be included club head speed, strike angle, ball loft and speed. Ubersense will also help its community of golfers understand why such information is important to improving one’s golf game. Make sure you turn on Push Notifications to be alerted when new Professional videos are added to the library. This release also includes several other changes and enhancements in the app:
Email sharing can now be done in just 1 click. Videos are shared via email directly from the app, not the mail app on your device, allowing for even faster video sharing.
Video tagging now defaults to your previously tagged video. This will be a huge help to many of you who record multiple videos in a row of the same person and club.
As always please let us know what you think of this update. We hope you are as excited as we are! - Team Ubersense
