Right.
So I got an old laptop from work and I've installed Ubuntu on it. It's been a hot minute since I've actually used Ubuntu as my OS, and lots of the things I remember actually liking about it are here, but they've changed a lot of things too. Also there are some frustrations. There's no GUI for NordVPN that actually works. Console-only, which is .... fine. I guess? NordPass has a good GUI that works so that's a big plus in my book. Also, fucking Thunderbird went and got itself in a great big hurry and is now actually good to use? I'm impressed with that. Firefox is always good to use and that integration was seamless.
Working well so far. Gotta do some updates and whatnot but overall it's good. We'll see how it holds up when I take it on my vacation.
