Udall Undergraduate Scholarship: Making a difference in Tribal Policy/Healthcare or Environment
Udall Undergraduate Scholarship Now Open!
The Udall Undergraduate Scholarship is a $7,000 scholarship for sophomores and juniors who are committed to making a difference in either the environment or Tribal Policy/Native healthcare. The UW has the opportunity to nominate up to 4 students for each category. Last year, two UW students received this award. The application deadline is January 3.
Tribal Public Policy or Native Healthcare Udall Scholarship Details
To apply for the Tribal Policy/Native Health care category, applicants must:
- Be current sophomores or juniors
- Have a commitment to a career related to tribal public policy or Native healthcare
- Be enrolled in a state or federally recognized tribe or banned or one or more of your parents or grandparents was an enrolled member of a state or federally recognized tribe or band
- Be a permanent U.S. resident or U.S. citizen who is a member of the First Nations of Canada
- Plan on studying full-time next academic year

Scholarships for students who plan to make a difference
The Truman Scholarship
The Harry S. Truman Scholarship supports graduate education and professional development of outstanding young people committed to public service leadership.
Open to U.S citizen students who are in their 3rd year.
The award amount is $30,000 to go toward graduate education. Read more about the Truman at www.truman.gov.

The Udall Scholarship
The foundation awards scholarships for leadership, public service, and commitment to issues related to Native American nations or to the environment. Last year, two UW students were awarded this scholarship!
The Udall Foundation anticipates awarding 50 scholarships of up to $7,000 each.
Sophomore and junior level students can apply for the Udall Undergraduate Scholarship.
Open to U.S. citizen students. (Tribal enrollment required for students applying under the Native American categories).
