Hi all! I'm Nina and I run this place (allegedly).

Important things to know about this simblr!

This is a side blog! All likes, follows, and comments will come from elizabethsmess.

I play the Ultimate Decades Challenge. While I only play semi-historically accurate there will still be mentions of sexism, minor homophobia, miscarriages, death, disease, religion etc. Please take this into consideration when reading my posts, your mental health should always come first!

My decades challenge will not include any sort of racism. I made the choice when I started playing that I did not feel comfortable including it in my gameplay. The past sucked enough without having to add in racism too.

Disclaimer! Just because my gameplay may include sensitive issues, it does not mean I agree with or am endorsing opinions of the past.

I try to post once a day but may end up posting more or less depending on my schedule and how much time I've had to play.

1555 Update:

Faramir celebrates his second birthday, and none too soon as Fang realizes that she is once again expecting. Neither she nor Huy are particularly pleased about it, but both know the advantages of having an heir and a spare. Fang and Huy also celebrate milestone birthdays this year, with Fang turning 30 and Huy turning 45.

While Huy spends his time plotting to secure their social and political dominance, Fang has begun to take regular visits to see Alissa. As long as she comes back with enough information, Huy doesn't mind. Nor does it ever cross his mind to question just how close the two women are.

1554 Update:

If you didn't know, you would never guess Éowyn and Galadriel were not actually sisters. The two, only six months apart in age, are inseparable. Faramir, at just over a year, can't keep up with their games just yet and often stays behind in the nursery. Fang hopes that the girls will include him once he's old enough. She understands the value of the betrothal between Éowyn and Faramir, she herself has entered into two political marriages, but it will make things much easier if the two can get along.

1553 Update:

The year is a quiet one. Galadriel goes from creeping infant to full-blown toddler in the summer. In the fall Fang gives birth to a son, Faramir, just as Huy had hoped Faramir and Éowyn are quickly betrothed, solidifying the Volkov's stake in Westbrook Castle. Much as he would have liked to take over his ancestral lands, it seems to Huy that establishing a rival family (and pack) could be just as rewarding. As long as his brother is made to recognize Huy's superiority, does it truly matter how they get there?

Sorry for being MIA everyone, been settling into the new house and trying to get overtime in so we can take a small honeymoon in June. I've also been exclusively playing Paralives when I do manage to have free time. This is my starting family Estella, Juliette, and their son Luca. I love them. So far the game has been a lot of fun and I was not expecting it to be as good as it is.

No promises on being able to start back posts at least until the end of June, hopefully things will have calmed down by then!

When Geoffrey comes back home, it's not to Sunset Valley but instead Monte Vista. With his bachelor lifestyle and distance from his family, it made sense to move Geoffrey somewhere closer so he wasn't traveling as far. (I assume the flights from Sim Italy are closer and cheaper to Sim France/Egypt/China).

And for our Ida fans, she and Clinton have relocated as well.

After spending the night in the dragon's cave, Geoffrey spends his last day of the trip on fetch quests. He does manage to finish this quest line a few hours before the end of the trip! He also manages to get level one of the martial arts skill right as the trip ends.

Geoffrey gets sent to explore the dragon cave, which panics every time I try and take a screenshot in it. He explored most of it (one section we're missing a key for, so I suspect we'll be sent back at some point).

After far too long and a lot of running between ends of the map, Geoffrey finally catches all the bugs he needs. By the time he finishes it's too late in the day for anything but to pick up a new quest and rest back at base camp.

The next morning Geoffrey visits the Temple of Heaven while waiting for more Red Assassin bugs to appear since his first tries were a failure. His go-to idle activity at this point is snake charming, which is not going too well for him.

Despite attempting to catch three, he only manages to get one. He spends the night at a nearby camping area in shame.

Yay for obligatory early morning fetch quests.

One of the places Geoffrey has to go is near this super tiny empty residential lot at the top of one of the mountains. Very pretty, but I have no idea why it's here. Maybe we can buy it one day and it'll be Geoffrey's retirement home where he can have his evil lair.

I also had no idea there were just random excavation areas? Wild. Don't try this at home kids.

After finding an impressive 2,000 simolean artifact, Geoffrey gets auto teleported back to base camp where he immediately slaps this guy? I'm going to be honest, I have no idea why the game freaked out and sent him home. And then I checked and the bug he hiked 5 hours to get to was gone anyway.

Geoffrey decides to switch it up and visit Shang Simla next. He gets his first quest from Liu Pei, who triggered two separate attraction notifications.

He manages to complete the Halls of the Lost Army and retrieve a relic for Liu.

Back at home, Geoffrey spends his rest day chatting with his Al Simharan friends and watching TV.

That evening we get a notification that Ida and Clinton have been promoted!

The next day is more fetch quests as Geoffrey tracks down some mummitonium. He sneaks into the Morcucorp headquarters to plant the mummitonium but is stopped by electrical traps and only an hour left on his trap.

Loading up my game to play for the first time in several weeks and I can't even remember what Geoffrey was doing lol. Here's hoping I can figure it out quickly. The current plan is to build the queue back up with my lepacy save and then work on some UDC updates!

Also, I got married! And moved! It's still wild to think about. We got some of our preview photos in and our dog absolutely stole the show so please enjoy this photo of our very handsome boy.

While waiting for access to a house for a secret library, Geoffrey becomes friends with several of the market sellers.

After a whole day of waiting I google the chances of the owners actually being at home and the odds are almost 0%. So I maybe cheat a new sim into the household and voila! instant access. The library is a quick explore and, after retrieving the book he was sent for, Geoffrey spends the night going back and forth for fetch quests.
