💭 + gardening ~
“I’ve buried a couple bodies… Oh. Ya mean like grow flowers and shit? Nah… most of the stuff I tried ‘ta grow died. Hikifune-Taichou used ‘ta keep a lil garden in the courtyard of her residence. She used ‘ta grow all sorts of vegetables and herbs and stuff and I’d look after ‘em sometimes when she was away on missions. Taichou also used ‘ta have Paulownia trees- obviously cause that’s her name… and her hair and eyes and…” And her vivid shade of lipstick, smiling.. that tender smile that only a mother could make.
There was something stuck in her throat as she tried to remember those trees with their brilliantly violet flowers. Hiyori used to fall asleep beside them waiting for her captain to make an appearance or return from missions. They shared so many meals and picnics as Hiyori chattered away about inane things and stared adoringly at her captain. She had learned Kubikiri Orochi’s shikai form there and Kirio had laughed in that garden. It had been her paradise.
The thing that was stuck in her throat was a lump. Even after all this time… she missed her.

the sudden voice near her made her sit up a little straighter, barely managing to suppress another yawn. upon seeing who exactly the voice belonged to, her shoulders relaxed once again.
“oh, yeah not really. i still have to do some of this work.” she sighed and gestured towards the papers on her small desk. “i could ask you the same, it’s not like you to still be around here isn’t it?”
Shinji swept soundlessly into the Third Seat’s office, a modest little pigeonhole, really, his dark golden gaze lingering briefly on the documents stacked on the table, the furniture almost groaning beneath the weight of those unforgiving folders. It was enough to make him feel a tad sorry for the tired looking young woman sitting there.
It was also very late; he wasn’t even wearing his haori anymore, just the standard black shihakusho, a telling sign that he had come from his quarters. Shinji idly lifted his hand, only one index finger raised.
“ I couldn’t sleep- ” A second finger came up. “ I was bored outta my mind- ” Then the third. “ I saw a light here while I was wanderin’ ‘round and decided ‘ta check it out. Choose any one, or all of the three, s’up ‘ta ya. ”
There was a faint smirk on his face, because to be fair, each of his points was a direct effect of the one before it.
“ Poor Shinigami-chan, ” he drawled quietly, curiously. “ Why are ya the only one stuck with this mountain of work? ”

ever since talking with @captusmomentum about my sweet baby boy I’ve wanted to draw him again. He’s just a shy theatre child who wants a boyfriend. My poor boy who never got to even exist because his parents in canon perish before he’s born. Which...I really can’t blame anyone for but myself.

Meet Uevareth, aka the son that Victory and Aelynthi never had. In cannon Aelynthi was kind of executed right before they would have been given permission to have him. He would have worked in the theatre sector for Sylaise.

White Camellia — "You’re adorable.”
It wasn’t as if he’s never heard that before... though normally it was from much older women who could practically be considered his mother. Still it was nice.
“Oh thanks, miss...?”

The Sixth Division is often times said to be the exact opposite of the Eleventh. They are composed, noble, and calm, whilst those in the Eleventh are wild, aggressive, and untempered. A good example of this incongruity is shown as Kenpachi wanders about the Sixth’s barracks, obviously searching for someone, but his awful sense of direction prevents him from finding either of his targets: Renji Abarai and Byakuya Kuchiki both evade him. He grumbles as he walks through the halls, obviously in a bad mood... but he then comes across a rather small woman who stands in front of him, obviously having seen him wandering her Division and seeking words with him. Kenpachi stops, his eye meeting hers.
“...yer cap’n an’ lieutenant are out, aren’t they.”
