the elite force as a group of traumatized kids trying to find justice for something so much bigger than themselves and losing themselves in the process. the idea of fighting for a cause so long you loose sight of who you are. what did you want out of life? what would you have done if your life wasn't so suddenly uprooted? are your friends really your friends or are you just bonded together because of what you're fighting for? what happens when you get justice? what happens if you can't get back the life you once had?

#prompted by me thinking of the first lref episode y'know when their windows get like exploded bc of roman and rikers message or wtvr #i fucking hate elite force as a show but as a group i think they're interesting because of the superhero vs normo vs bionic life dynamic #like there really is no more supherhero culture to fall back on and help shape kaz and olivers powers #there is no mighty med hospital to safely explore the limitations to kaz and oliver's powers. they're learning as they go #there's potential in that lowkey canon hatred and resentment they all hold for one another but it's all over the place in canon #i would have rathered a unified mm trio vs rats fighting over what's the greater priority mission wise instead of the random duo clashes #there's something interesting to be explored in how the mm trio has to assimilate to bionic culture while trying to preserve hero culture #and they just don't #ugghhhhhhhhh #lref fucking sucks they should have let me be in charge #lref #lab rats elite force
