MMMM. this one is spicy, in a way, because i have a lot of feelings regarding not only katya and her own art, but katya’s feelings toward art in general. i think we all sort of uhh . . . know that she’s not the most positive person. she’s cynical well beyond a fault and has very little patience for most things and considers a lot of things to be superficial and frivolous. this does not, however, extend to her art. she was not much of an artist as a child, it’s actually something that she stumbled into later on in life. katya has a lot of difficulty expressing herself and expressing emotion, and often struggles with honesty in any form, even honesty with herself. art, at least as far as she sees it, is difficult to lie through, or fake. what she can’t express through words or even thoughts she can sometimes express in painting. so, it’s almost a form of therapy for her, in a way. she doesn’t begin with a certain end in mind, so it’s sort of the only time she really like, just does something, without intent or thinking, or a certain goal in mind. because of the honesty aspect, she rarely shares it with anyone, but has a sort of secret respect for people that do display theirs, and has gone to many art shows in the past.
