ok dude
like how do you think Romeo and Roy would fall in love
Think..thinking bee
Hmm HOLD ON
They'd definitely bond over their parents and how they. Kinda suck. Honestly I think Romeo fell first, and tried repressing it because he wasn't sure if that was "okay." Roy was completely oblivious
They spend dinner at each other's houses and both complain about their parents to each other, then all that stuff happens.

(This is going to be a bit rambly because I just woke up and Depression Brain is still trying to sit behind the wheel, but it’s real close to my chest so I gotta write it down.
I just saw someone getting ‘hate’ (ie: a real, real fucking pathetic anon) dissing their muse because, in their opinion, said muse was Too Sad. Now, I have a lot of problems with this. First of all: fucking don’t send hate in the year 20-fucking-19? Are we really still on that train, guys? You get your attention-needing ass on Tumblr and the only way you can decide to try and get it is by sending people shitty anons? I feel for you, if that’s the best thing you can think of doing with your life. Christ.
Second.
It’s a shitty, shitty thing to say. Firstly: muse backgrounds are by definition headcanon-based because let’s be real, Blizzard only gives us SO MUCH to work with. And sure, you can choose to go a happier route, or a less happy route. Dealer’s choice, cause guess what? It’s our interpretation and oh my gosh! If you don’t like it! There’s a very convenient unfollow button!!
Too sad. Christ. I don’t even know where to start. In my old fandom, with my old muse, I was very invested in his backstory, but the canonic lore we had available was... severely lacking. Like, think Overwatch, but ten times worse. Yeah, really. It sucks but hey, more room to explore things, right! He was, like Gabe, a soldier, and had PTSD and some really shitty, but cool things going on that I wanted to explore.
People left because of it. Hell, I lost friends over that. Because ‘it’s too dramatic, we’re just doing this for fun, and because your muse doesn’t like mine when he’s Sad or Angry, I now feel personally offended.’
Not too long after that, I ditched the fandom, but I never got to tell that story the way I wanted to.
People would rather I was pleasant to their muses than tell a story that involved PTSD and flawed characters and depth.
So yeah, you’re damn right I take this shit to heart. And for what it’s worth: I fucking love seeing everyone’s background stories for all these nerds - whether it’s sad or not, whether it’s angsty or not, you guys put in so much effort to make them whole, rounded, fascinating characters and most importantly:
I want to see you tell your stories.
Don’t let some asshole stop you, ever.
And now I’m going to shove my face in some more coffee.)
THE HUNT
“She's here, Ted thought, a certainty that burned in his gut like acid. She's here somewhere, hiding. I know it.”
THE SEED
“June. She had missed her period in June. It was August now.”
FREEDOM
“Three months of swallowing her screams and her pride and herself, and now the rain was sluicing it all away, carrying the filth of him down her body and into the mud where it belonged”
“Where are you, sugar? Where'd you go?” I’ll find you…
