And then, there was light...

Our first post on tumblr...a site I can only really describe as being like the love-child of Blogger and Myspace.  Regardless, it seems to be 'down with the kids', so here we are....brap.

Phoenixx is at an odd stage, whilst it's growing as ever it's been stunted the past couple of months or so as if I'm being honest, I'd stopped enjoying it...dun dun durrrr.  I'd thrown everything into the release of The Words debut album 'Truth & Faith', and I felt drained, tired, and lacking in motivation.  What I try to do is give the impression to the outside world that Phoenixx is this hive of little elves running around doing things, when in reality, it's just me.

It got to a point where it stopped being fun, and at that point I had to stop, step back, and take a break.

But 2012 is a new year, and as I enter the last few months heading up the label it's time for one last push to get everything out that I can before I leave.  We have UKID finishing off an EP which should be released around March.  The Words have their second single 'Demons' coming out mid-February, and we have an exciting London based artist working on the artwork for that one.  It will be revealed here exclusively on January 22nd.  A video is also in the works, again keep an eye out here for exclusive details to come.

We also have new signing Dirty Mindz, who will be my last full signing and release at Phoenixx.  Because of this, we're doing something a bit special and a bit different with them, more details will be revealed here soon.
