simple ukulele tablature tutorial
in tablature (commonly shortened to tabs), the string on the bottom is the one at the top when youre playing, and vice versa
well, tablature is based on sitting the ukulele flat in front of you
as you can see in my example here, this ukulele is tuned to GCEA, which is the standard tuning for everything other than baritone. if your ukulele is meant to be tuned differently for a certain song, it should tell you how it is meant to be tuned somewhere on the thing
now then, tablature has numbers on the lines
a 0 means open; no fingers on the frets
any number after that means your finger should be on the corresponding fret
this example has no fingers on any of the frets
this example is the same thing as the last, except a G chord instead of open
