Jacob saw the girl faint and luckily Sam had shifted when he did otherwise he would have had an arrow in his side …
Gently and carefully Jacob picked up the girl he brought her back to the house and asked Sam to watch her and help her with her wound as she seemed to be malnourished, had soot still on her clothes, as well as bandage around her leg as she had been in a horrible situation. Clearly needing assistance and protection. He had to go talk to Edward about something with Bella.
