 It finally happened, you walked through that door

The door that all of humanity fears

Is it terrifying, as you fear it would be?

Or…is it beautiful as you hoped it would be?

 On March 5th 1930 you were born.

Out of thousand competitors, you conquered the egg.

You told me, you remembered your birth.

Miracles of all miracles!

You left the safety of the womb and crawled on the earth’s surface.

Then came 23 years of tribulation, aggravation, irritation with no investigation

23 years of cacophony and alienation. Then came the electro shock.

Then came low self-esteem and that docile dream.

Everything was a secret! Secret! Family secret!

Then at the age of 24, you gave birth to me.

I remember your warm maternal smile and your Madonna gaze

That give me years a lifelong serenity.

With your innocuous presence…

You embraced the universe with your loving arms.

You told me that you loved me in 1980

Somehow I always knew that

You spent the rest of decade painting.

The sign of Pieces swam in the Sea of tranquility.

You leave behind 5 children

We all will carry your memory for the rest of time.

The artist may die but the art will live on in eternity.

I will always love you.

Goodbye mother, goodbye.
