yeah uhh,,,, I know there are popular headcanones about Ult!John and Ult!DirkJohn (thank you jayayey for this) but,,,, i kinda,,, have my own take on them,,,,

so, uh, the thing is that John's Ult!powers would not be about controlling the narrative, but about controlling the people. that's because of the breath aspect being about direct leadership, and heirs being the ones who invite change through their aspect, are consumed and/or becoming their aspect (depends on theory that you stick to, but every would make sense).

retcon powers would be still here, because John Is Alive™, and is in alpha timeline.

he would also be able to sense Dirk messing up with his thoughts, and eventually with narrative in general (he was noticing him in meat epilogue, so, if given more time and some peace he would be able to hear him clearly). after some time of listening to the Constant Rambling™, he'd get sick and tries to escape, but would fail because of Dirk and his narrative control (imagine being greeted by a giant wall of orange text every time you try to do literally anything)

then he would try again and again, until he gets Very Pissed™ and shouts at Dirk to "SHUT the fuck UP for ONE MINUTE" and Strider just. shuts up. not being able to say a word for strictly one minute. and when the time passes he gets his narrative back but John has already gone.

retcon shenanigans happen once again. the setting is all the same: davekat, mourning Kanaya, Roxy and possessed Jade. John can hear Calliope, and gets annoyed with her too because "she is the same obnoxious asshole as Dirk". he flees and after some more retcon shenanigans comes back to Dirk.

then idk, some blackrom happens because that the chemistry of Ult!s. John is in denial while dirk is like 80% sure that they are blackdating. they end up blackdating anyway.

and that's it, that's the plot of my own little Ult!John au that I've been thinking about for a long time tbh.

I don't think I ever posted my idea for Ultimate June on here before.

I've seen a lot of interpretations of Ult!John and most of them have been on the hard lines of goofy/heroic or stone-cold-hero, and so I decided to do my take on it with June, because if any version of Egbert is gonna go ultimate its gonna be in a timeline where she's comfortable as June.
