why my ultimate is yugyeom #4
yugyeom loves his dance. yugyeom seemed to me like someone who would keep dancing regardless if he could be an idol. i was really attracted to that because i always have to have so many backup plans, being insecure in myself it’s cray
in his most recent instagram, he sought out 2 dance teachers at l.a to learn dance even though he was prob MAD tired since they’re still touring. like argh my heart.
we’ve all seen him dance with choreo, without choreo, with music, without music, when it’s approrpiate, when it’s random, crazily, flailingly, sexily, by himself, with others, when he’s bored, when he’s hard at work.
yugyeom’s mentioned in various interviews that his secret is to do something you like and just go at it crazily. but going at something crazily takes a couple things:
1. the courage to throw put all your eggs in one basket
2. the stamina and willpower to maintain and increase skill
so many idols have these traits but in my mind yugyeom is a truly exceptional example.
yugyeom shares his instagram vids even if they aren’t the most perfectly choreographed pieces. it seems like for yugyeom increasing his skill and love for dance >>>> being a “perfect” dancer in other people’s eyes.
and that’s really inspirational for me.
I MEAN LOOK HOW HAPPY HE IS DANCING HERE. i just can’t see it as showcase of skill but proof of something so much more.
