hajime glances at you, smiles awkwardly, and looks away. he scratches his eyebrow. "i don't know about that..." you assure him that you mean the compliment. not knowing what else to say he just politely nods his head and thanks you.

kazuichi looks down, trying not to show how flustered he was at their little comment. hearing things like that really means a lot to him. 'do they really mean that?' he thinks to himself. he's finally able to regain control of his face before he looks back at them. with a sparkle in his eyes, he thanks them.

fuyuhiko raises his eyebrow. "what do you mean by that? you think i look like a kid too, huh?" he is instantly offended. you have to explain that you were trying to compliment him on his features; his freckles especially. his shoulders, previously tense, drop slowly as he looks away. he huffs out a breath. "whatever. you're just saying that to save your ass."

gundham brings his scarf up to hide his face. he tries to come off as intimidatingly as possible by glaring at them, not being able to accept defeat so easily. once he sees that they are unbothered, he quietly mutters: "i suppose there are some who can find beauty in the darkness..." then walks away, scarf still hiding the lower half of his face.

nekomaru looks at you, perplexed. then he smiles, patting your shoulder. "a pretty boy? but i'm a man!" he flexes his other arm. "i appreciate the compliment! but i haven't been a boy in a loooong time."

teruteru tilts his head up at them, a smirk already on his lips. "is that right? well, i sure am happy you think so because you're not so bad yourself." he winks. they thank him nervously, trying to find a way to assure him it was just a compliment!

the ultimate imposter is confused at first. 'sure, some of my disguises can make me look pretty but,' he thought to himself. 'do they actually mean that i am?' unfortunately, it's hard for him to believe it due to his insecurities. he thanks them anyway. it's the polite thing to do.

nagito shakes his head, unable to take the compliment at first. "my friends are much better looking than i am! really!" it's sad to see someone as cute as him not be able to accept the fact that he looks good. "...how i look depends on my luck that day, anyway." he sighs softly.

ryota stares pensively at them. he's thinking about what to say to defend himself. it finally registers that they are actually complimenting him! he doesn't really know what to say except for a meek "thank you?" before going back to his apartment, looking into the mirror, and studying his face. he wonders what it was about his features to make them want to compliment him. he is the obsessive type after all.

♡ It’s only when he sees that kind expression on your face that he realises he’s okay.

Hello! Can I please get a ultimate imposter x fem!reader drabble? Reader's personality is introverted and serious. The prompt I'd like would be: reader gets physically hurt (not severely, like maybe she fell and scraped her knee) and imposter takes care of her wound and soothes her, only to have her asking him: "you always take care of everyone, but who takes care of you?". Ultimate Imposter (Byakuya Twogami) x Fem! Reader

A/N: hii anon! to answer your question: i am not fully sure! 😭 when i got into Danganronpa I was in middle school and it was just kind of the thing at the time, I remember one of my friends on discord had a kokichi profile picture and I was curious; i do think i watched some kind of let’s play but weather that was Berleezy or someone just playing through the game with no commentary i’m not so sure! i do however vividly remember watching kubz scouts play it cause i loved how he voiced nagito lol thank you for asking i love talking about my special interest <3

Everyone seemed to become friends after they had awoken from the Neo-World Program.

You supposed they were friends in the past, you just had never felt the connection to your classmates.

Even after practically being forced to trauma bond from the killing game you were all thrown into…you felt little for any of them.

It was hard to get close to any of them, they were so loud and obnoxious, not to mention pretty crazy.

You were taking your daily walk around the island, not wanting to be involved with what was going on at Hotel Mirai.

You were in Jabberwock park, admiring the way the sunlight filtered through the trees when you tripped-

You had caught yourself on your hands, but the damage was done. You had felt burning in your knee; alerting you that you had scraped it.

You shifted, looking behind you to see what you had possibly tripped on when you saw a screwdriver, mentally cursing Kazuichi.

You winced when you looked over at the damage, it wasn’t horrible, you recall a few times you had scraped your knee but it was always very unpleasant.

You looked closer trying to assess the damage when you heard someone behind you.

“Are you okay?”

They asked sharply, you turned around with a slight jolt, being met with Byakuya Twogami, more specifically, the ultimate imposter.

You nod, albeit, a bit meekly. Failing to hold eye contact with them for more than a few seconds.

“Fine..”

You say softly, They peek over and see your scrape, giving you a look that seems like they’re asking ‘really?’.

“Well, I mean, it stings…”

You deadpan, not exactly knowing what to say and they sigh.

“Go over to that bench.”

They say, gesturing to one of the benches hidden under the shade from a tree, you stare at them for a moment before abiding by their request, shimming over with them close behind you.

You sit down and they kneel in front of you, examining the scrape, being careful with the way they’re holding your leg.

“Tch, you should be more careful…”

They say, but not in a mocking way, more as in a scolding looking out for you way.

“It’s not like I was trying to trip…”

You say, they stay quiet, putting your leg down and rummaging through their pockets, they take out an alcohol wipe and a bandage.

“Normally I would try to fully clean the wound but…this will have to suffice for now.”

You watch as they take the wipe out of the wrap but hesitate slightly before they press it to your scrape.

“This…will probably burn, but if it hurts too bad just tell me to stop and I will.”

Their tone changed to something softer, more caring than the usual Byakuya persona you often find them in.

You nod, awaiting the sting.

They gently press it to your scrape and you bite your lip, trying your best not to focus on the sensation.

It only lasts a few moments before they finally finish cleaning the cut and you breathe out softly.

“You okay?”

They ask gently.

“Yes, I’m okay…”

You say, their eyes locked on yours.

“Good…”

They say, finally placing the bandage on your scrape, it’s a green one plastered with little dinosaurs.

It’s quiet between you two for a moment, neither of you knowing exactly what to say in order to fill the silence.

“Thank you…”

You start, not wanting to sit in the silence for much longer.

“You know…you always take care of everyone, but who takes care of you?”

It was a valid question, time and time again they had been the one to help your class when they were in intense bouts of despair; not to mention the fact that they were the only reason everyone in your class didn’t go crazy the moment it was revealed you were stranded on an island to kill each other.

They’re quiet for a moment, looking a bit surprised at your question and you swear you see a bit of pink tinge their cheeks-

“I— don’t need anyone to take care of me.”

They say, but it feels like they’re holding back, your gaze sharpens.

“Everyone needs someone to take care of them, even if they claim to be independent it’s nice to have someone to go to when things get tough.”

They seemed genuinely stunned, not knowing what to say- the facade cracking under your words.

You didn’t know why, but you felt compelled to comfort them.

“I mean..- I’m not the best at it but I could always try to be there for you?”

You suggest, wondering if it was maybe stupid to say something like that—

“I would like that…”

They say quietly, not quite able to meet your gaze with pink cheeks.

You smile to yourself, you hope you’ll get to see their facade crack again in the future…

The boy had no strength to fight. He gripped the metal chains of the swing tightly. He felt his lower lip begin to shake dangerously. He looked down at his shoes dugging into the dirty sand. He regretted coming to the playground.

He moved. He wanted to start from scratch in a new place but his tormentors found him here too. They stood before him with mocking smiles.

He saw the old school again before his eyes and the strange looks of the class — sometimes full of contempt, other times of pity. The teachers stood aside. They waved their hand at the problem.

The insulting words flowed directly into ears that had become accustomed to them over the years:

—...so fat you'll break the swing... Can I help you? I don't think I can, what about you, Yoshita-kun?

He couldn't get away from them. He knew his legs, unused to running, wouldn't carry him fast enough. He couldn't imagine how he would even take the first step.

He shut down his eyes as a fist was heading for his face. He just raised his hand, trying to protect his head. It was easier that way.

He was roused from his numbness only by the touch of a small hand on his shoulder.

—...and don't let me see you here again! — The girl turned her head towards him. — Is everything okay?

He nodded, gratitude choking his throat.

— I'm [Reader]-san but you can call me the sheriff of this place. If anyone bothers you again, just say you know me and they'll leave you alone.

The savior sat on the second swing.

— Let's have a competition to see who can reach higher!

— I never…— he began, feeling a surge of shame.

The children wouldn't let him go near the sandbox or the slide. He could only dream of them. The swing was an exception. He was thrown off it in a nasty way. The laughter still rang in his ears:

— Transform into something. Come on! A bird would fly away from here.

— I think pig suits him more!

— Don't say that or he'll impersonate you!

Since then he has never tried to sit on a wooden plank again. It scared him. Today he tried to overcome it but the result was poor.

— You've never swung before?

He expected eyes full of pity. Instead, he got genuine joy reflected in the two irises staring back at him. He saw excitement in them as well. He didn't expect that.

— Look at me. You have to push off with your legs — [Reader] demonstrated. — I’ll help you.

The girl stood up, grabbed his chain tightly and pulled it with all her might. The boy wanted to protest. She was much smaller than him. He felt stupid. Nevertheless, he pushed himself with his feet. He did it several times. He gained momentum. The swinging of his legs became mechanical after a moment.

He felt a light wind on his face as he flew up and down in the rays of the setting sun. For the first time in a long time, he felt as if he had discovered something new. It frightened him but fascinated him at the same time.

[Reader] swung with him arm in arm.

— You’re doing great! — She gave him a thumbs up. — What’s your name, actually?

— I am...

Whatever he had called himself then, it didn't matter. He wasn't himself and he had never been himself. Every name was a lie.

— Is this where you were hiding from me? — [Reader] entered the dark room.

The curtains tightly blocked the incoming light, giving the room a depressing appearance.

— It's not like that...

The boy knew that was exactly what happened. He just didn't want to admit it out loud.

— I talked to Mitarai-san. He's an Ultimate Animator. He wants to make an anime that fills people with hope. He won't leave his room. That's why he let me be his replacement. I'll start the day after tomorrow.

— That's probably a good thing, right? It'll make things a little easier for you...— She smiled.

He wanted to say that it would never get easier but he bit his tongue at the last moment.

— Cursed talent — he said quietly.

Memories from his childhood flooded his head, while he was trying to recall every painful detail. He never left them behind. He simply pushed them down as hard as he could.

— I forbid you to say that. You have a wonderful talent. You are an Ultimate, one of a kind. You are not like me. I can always be replaced and...

After a while of getting to talk to each other after getting out of the program you learned he was also the ultimate imposter and y'all's relationship bloomed after that. 🥺😋

Teruteru:

He gets exited that someone is able to help him cook 🥺 (not gonna make this anything other than wholesome since I'm a minor and asexual lol) and couldn't wait to make breakfast for everyone with you helping him. Sometimes he gets more credit but he always makes sure to scold them and get the recognition you deserve.

"Oh? Ultimate cook? Well it just so happens I'm that too 👨‍🍳 do you wanna make some cookies my momma taught me to make 😏"

Gundham:

"Oh? Who dares to challenge me!? oh- your the Ultimate breeder to? I suppose where pm the same level. Very well then! What is your familiar? 😈"

After a while you both hung out with Sonia as she absolutely loved you guys. And y'all's familiars would play with each other. The devas loved you and it 🥺 you asked him if he can do your hair like his and now it's a funny haha between you both.

Nekomaru :

He was super vocal about his excitement twords your ultimate. Knowing that you both have different methods, you both train Akane and she loves you both sm. After Nekomaru got hit my monokuma's and was sent to the hospital, you both made sure he was happy and comfortable even though it was booming like he normally was. And in the fun house it was you who comforted Akane. After the simulation you both became closer until his time was up.

1: youre an ultimate! why should a talentless and worthless human being like him even get to ask you for a favor? to him, he seems to be very selfish for even thinking of asking for that

2: he also doesn’t want you to think that he only cares for you to use you as a medium to talk to his parents. sure, at first, he admired you for being a symbol of absolute hope but after getting to know you, he truly fell in love. and the longer he fell, the less of a need to cling to the past as long as his final wish was fulfilled; to be loved by someone before he dies.

ok i actually have a lot of ideas for teruteru.

so pre/during killing game, he wouldn’t really do anything about your talent, why would he, he’s a chef!

when ibuki suggests to use your talent to talk to byakuya’s spirit, teruteru would almost lose his cool and release his accent (he thankfully didn’t)

and also thankfully, monokuma banned you from using your talent since it’d make the trial boring if they all just relied on you

and then post killing game i feel like he’d ask you to help him talk to his dead mom since im pretty sure its hinted that shes dead

also also omg youre his personal taste tester and i swear to shuichis baseball cap that it’s all food wars clothes-removing inducing kind of good like *chef kiss*

It doesn’t matter if he needs to flee and change identity, he carries your gifts with him wherever he goes.

If he ends up needing to go somewhere you couldn’t, he’d write back to you with pictures of where he is, and little bits of cloth or newspaper scraps as a mini gift.

While you’re on the island, he keeps all of his gifts either on the windowsills or next to his nightstand.

Secretly he keeps a journal full of descriptions of the items and the dates that he got them- also, the occasion is written down in as much detail as possible.

You becoming serious was a surprise for him.

He didn’t know you could, as he was always the serious one.

Mikan loves your gifts.

She keeps messages pinned to her walls, and her favorite ones in the apron of her skirt.

She gifts you empty pill bottles, with little notes and mini photographs stored in them.

While you’re on the island, she often goes back to her room to look at her items.

She’s always emotional when you give them to her, often thinking she’s unworthy of a symbol of pure affection like that.

The first time you got serious, it scared her a little bit.

But as you defended her from a bully, she found it comforting after a while.

Gundham doesn’t understand your gifts at first.

He warms up to it quickly, seeing how happy painted rocks make the Deva’s, which you start storing into their cage.

He starts commanding the Devas to bring him things to give you, they bring odd trinkets, pictures, and little polished stones.

He takes time to give you gifts in person, but if you’re busy, sometimes a Deva will come running up to you with a gift.

The difference between your silly side and serious side baffles him.

The first time you were serious- telling off someone- he had to hide his surprised face in his scarf.

Oh boy, this man will love on you 24/7

Kazuichi understands that you don’t really like to go and meet new people, honestly he is afraid of judgment from others so he doesn’t talk to many people either, but he will bring you outside to secluded areas to have picnics or just to be outside and away from others <3

Sometimes he will drag you to places you don’t want to go to but you always end up having a lot of fun!

He’s a big show off around you, you’re already impressed enough that he’s able to bring you places. He makes you feel so special and loved though so you can’t hate him

Oh my gosh please if you are comfortable shower with him. He thinks it’s really romantic, you would do it to make sure he doesn’t smell like oil, it’s a win/win if you ask me

Loves being the little spoon, he likes to be able to curl up with you while you play with his hair. He feels so relaxed in your arms :).

Steal one of his beanies and he will be so happy! He thinks it cute when you wear some of his things

Oh my gosh kazuichi is super clingy and when he sleeps with you he will hold on to your waist. Super cute but he’s like a furnace because he is naturally always hot warm, it helps in the winter though.

He will take your phone and just take photos of himself so you have them

Fuyuhiko Kuzuryu

Fuyuhiko doesn’t get why you just don’t go out that much, his thought process is like;

‘Just go out 🤨 it’s not that hard.’

Like Fuyuhiko yes honey it is, still love him though.

He will think it’s weird at first but then will adapt to it. Fuyuhiko will try to take you to some places but he won’t force you, the last thing he wants is his s/o to feel uncomfortable around him.

When you two don’t go out he will just have long and deep conversations with you, cause let’s be honest small talk is boring and having long sentimental conversations with him really let’s him open up and be honest with you

Ohh! Learn how to bake him sweets and he will be on one knee proposing to you

Please let him be the big spoon, he just wants to feel tough for you :)

Also tell Fuyuhiko how much you are thankful for having him, he loves you so much but sometimes he needs to be reminded that you love him too

Teruteru Hanamura

This man is a big supporter! He doesn’t mind that you don’t like going out or socializing!

You don’t want to go out to eat? Great! He doesn’t want to take you cause he can just cook for you! Don’t want to meet someone? That’s a-ok! He wanted to stay inside and cuddle! You want to go out but not be near a crowded area? His hometown is small, peaceful, and near the country side!

He likes to hear your voice, it’s like a soft melody to him. Please rant to him about your interest, he loves that so much

Oooo Teruteru is a total sucker for romance movies, have a movie night with him and you guys can talk, make jokes, and just bask in each other’s company!

Teruteru will compliment you all the time! Get ready for a confidence boost because he is your go-to hype man!

If you guys ever have a picnic please make him a flower crown, he will be so happy. Most definitely will take a selfie with you and him wearing a flower crown. He will send it to his mama ;)

They’re pretty softly spoken when they’re not impersonating someone, so they completely understand if you have a quiet voice or don’t want to speak all the time

Maybe cook for them once in awhile, even if you aren’t good at cooking they will love your food so much!
