Sonic would have been running, but not with a calm gait. He was running fast, and he seemed to stop, eyeing the bushes he came from.

Examining the surroundings, he gave a glare, and he was ready to dodge and strike. “C’mon, show yerself...” he muttered under his breath, looking around in anticipation.

He didn’t run that far, but he ran far enough to distance himself from his attacker.
