Zander had been feeling incredibly anxious and insecure for a few days now. He couldn’t get it out of his head that maybe...maybe he wasn’t as desirable as he used to be? Was he doing something wrong? Did he make Dimitri really upset somehow?

Lately whenever they were on the verge of getting intimate Dimi would shy away and say he wasn’t feeling up to it. The first time Zander wasn’t too worried, if you’re not in the mood you’re not in the mood. 

But it’s been almost two weeks now.

They were laying in bed together and Zander had his arms wrapped around him, peppering kisses on the back of his neck. Only for him to shrug him off again. He couldn’t take it anymore. He had to ask what was wrong.

He let the boy go and sat up in their bed, his voice soft and sullen.

“Dimitri...did I do something wrong?”

There was a slight twitch of his eye, irritation clearly written on his face. Honestly, he was too tired for this bullshit; A full shift dealing with drunkards, and then having to beat down on a few wannabe villains would do that. Still, Eddie grit his teeth, his hand lifting...to point at his motorcycle behind the stranger.

“You’re blocking my bike in, dumbass.” He really was; With the way the cars were parked around it, there wasn’t any other way to get it out. “Maybe pay attention to your fucking surroundings for five seconds, yeah? Unless you’re actually looking to get the shit beat out of you.”

At this point, he was done waiting. He reached up, physically pushing the other out of the way. “If you want that so bad, find someone else to do it. I’m not in the mood.”

Haa... Stèhv was only out there t have some nice time to relax. Just leaning against a wall of the closest building for now. Not minding business of other but how could he ignore someone younger walking around when it was this dark. Not to mention that the moon was hidden. He might be not the youngest just still... How could he not help the other to get home savely? With a little chuckle, Stèhv was scratching the back of his head before looking to the side. "Shouldn't you be home and sleep? I am sure your parents are worrying about you. Or are you maybe lost?" A little smile was forming on his lips while he tried to be as polite as possible. Sure, it was weird when he would talk to a stranger. Not only because of his own problems. Or rather this big problem.

The little pug was in heaven at this point, still yipping lightly up at the other, pausing only to smother his chin in kisses as his curled tail wagged the best it could to show even more just how happy he was.

Ordinarily, it wouldn’t have taken much for Cipriana to catch up to her dog, however, she couldn’t exactly show that side of herself. The last thing she needed was to bring attention to herself, other than what Cucciolo had already brought running off like that but what she did need was to keep up appearances as best she could.

As she finally approached, small hands pressed against her knees as she panted a bit and her blue eyes met the gaze of the one who had managed to get the pug. “Oh gosh, thank you so much!” She grinned, standing up straight once more when she thought it seemed a long enough time for her to have caught her breath.

“Yes, he did, and I’ve been chasing him the whole way, he’s so quick though for such tiny legs.” A lighthearted laugh fell from glossed lips, the Italian accent heavy on her tongue as she stepped closer and held her arms out to take the puppy back. “Really, you did help me out here, can I get you a coffee or something as a thank you?”

It had been a fun and peaceful night. Valentine always enjoyed sleeping over at Dimitri and Zander’s place. It was warm and comfy, and she felt more at home here than in her own apartment. 

She didn’t feel so alone at times like these.

That was the case until the nightmares began to resurface in her sleep.

She was sleeping comfortably on the living room couch while the boys slept in their room. All was well for about two hours, then it happened.

It was so lucid, she swore she could feel every hit, every kick, every word that cursed her to her very core. She cried and screamed for it to stop. She promised she would try harder, she promised she’d be good enough, she promised over and over.

The last thing she saw was his fist aiming straight for her face. Then she woke up with a scream.

“DAD STOP!

She sat up in a cold sweat, tears streaming down her face. 

Oh no oh no that definitely woke them up oh God no...

Zander jolted awake and immediately looked to Dimitri to see if he was still up. 

“Dimi I think something’s wrong with Val!”
