Hi BPPU comrades,

Johanna here from College Park! Let me tell you about my new found snack obssesion.

I go to the diner and just walk straight by the grilled cheese line because I have promised myself to only be loyal to the Bobby’s Burger Palace Griddled Cheese Sandwich. I’ll never look at a grilled cheese sandwich the same way. Before working at Bobby’s Burger Palace, I thought a grilled cheese was the simplest thing I could eat. THINK AGAIN. Bobby’s Burger Palace opened my eyes and showed my taste buds a whole new level of cheesiness flavor. NOT one, NOT two, NOT even three cheeses, but FOUR, melted together and complimented with a tomato slice; talk about an explosion of flavor.

Now let us not forgot my first true love, the milkshakes. In my last post I had worked through about half of the milkshake options at BBP. I am proud to say I only have two more to try, the Black and White and Coffee. I have about a month left to try them, but my tastedbuds always seem to be craving the blueberry-pomegranant.

WHAT'S YOUR BURGER MOMENT?!

Hey everyone!

My name is Shannon and I am part of the BBPU team at the University of Maryland College Park. I am probably the odd ball out of all of the interns because I am a GEOGRAPHY major! You may be wondering why a geography major is doing a marketing/public relations internship and the answer is quite simple I LOVE BOBBY'S BURGER PALACE!

I can still remember all the times I drove past the Varsity and noticed the little burger join on the main level. One night I dragged my boyfriend over and finally got the opportunity to see the inside. I played it safe and ordered the CRUNCHburger and splurged on the sweet potato fries. To this day I still order that exact same meal and began putting potato chips on my burgers when I was home for the summer (I definitely received some weird looks at BBQs). If you take nothing away from this post other than one thing I want it to be TRY THE SWEET POTATO FRIES!!!!! If you know me you have heard about how delicious, crispy, perfectly salted, and all around amazing they are. I have a serious addiction to these fries and can honestly tell you that I demolished an entire serving at Tuesday Crunch.

A serious fear of joining this internship program was that I was going to be packing on pounds as fast as I ate those fries. Luckily I'm part of an organization called Changing Health Attitudes and Actions to Recreate Girls (CHAARG) on campus! There have been quite a few nights where I indulged in a burger and fries and then headed over for an intense workout with my fellow CHAARG ladies. The best part is if that I want something a little lighter I can get a Topless Burger, which is any burger served on a bed of greens, or the delicious Crunch Salad.

However, if you are in the mood to enjoy some DELICIOUS dessert you should absolutely check out the milkshake list. While I may be lactose intolerant that does not stopping me from having my boyfriend try all of them and getting to taste a teeny tiny bit. He is 21 and treated himself to the Mocha Kahlua Vodka milkshake the other night. Yeah that's right Bobby's Burger Palace serves SPIKED MILKSHAKES! For those of you that are over the age of 21 and were unaware of this fact you are probably kicking yourself, but don't worry there's a game on Saturday and what better way to celebrate HOMECOMING then with a Spiked Milkshake, Burger, and FRIES!

IT'S HOMECOMING WEEK! LET'S BEAT IOWA!
