Beatrice's revival incantation is still my absolute favorite thing in this story...
HOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOLY SHIT
Could Joseph Adama (Caprica - prequel to Battlestar Galactica) solve the witch's epitaph?
Could solve the epitaph, would survive
Could solve the epitaph, would not survive
Couldn't solve the epitaph, would survive
Couldn't solve the epitaph, would not survive
A big day yesterday :D

I think Eva-Beatrice is akin to Oni!Akuma from the Super Street Fighter 4 series. Both of them fully rejected their sanity and humanity to gain the ultimate power for their respected desires (Eva to obtain headship of the Ushiromiya family and become a powerful witch and Oni!Akuma embracing the Satsui no Hado beyond human limits). They are also extremely cruel and have no bias on who they kill or in the matter of their killings (Eva killing Maria, a nine year old child, bringing her back to life only to kill her again and Oni killing people he knows who wouldn't put up a decent fight against him. his winning animation shows kill him anyone regardless of gender, age, or other wise)
The only main difference between the two is that Eva-Beatrice, while inhumane, does care for only a very select few people. Oni just don't give a fuck.
