Umi would do her very best to stay up past her bed time just to spend a little bit more time with Nico.
This is probably the third time I’ve drawn UmiNico, and twice now it’s Umi being asleep. I feel like there’s some sort of way to work UmiNico that probably involves Umi telling Nico how she appreciates Nico the best when she’s honest and responsible and how she admires Nico’s dedication to idols. I think she’s probably one of the hardest Nico ships to make happen, tying with Rin. Friendship moments, easy. Ship moments, pretty tough.
But if the initial bump is cleared, it becomes a lot easier to write them as a stable couple.
