I read this thinking it would be a fun foodie graphic novel. Nope. This was about family, familial guilt, filial duty, & aging parents, & it made my cry. Honestly, if I'd known the specific content I probably wouldn't have read it, since it hits a little too close to home with my dad's death almost 2 years ago. The scenes in the hospital were tough to read. But there are also moments of light, growth, and new life. The story's world is split between a young man caring for his aging parents, while raising a child & growing a garden.
