Finally, my illustration for Erik Scheele's [@jitmakesstuff] track for the UMSPAF "KINDRED SOULS" album! This tune was immensely inspirational for me—the art was GOING to be Kris ascending a stairwell in true Strider fashion, but I realized that Susie just... fit so much better.

She WILL get her friends out of this fuckass narrative. Even if she's gotta carry them out, even if the going gets tough, even if it all gets harder. They have to make it. They will make it.

Golden Sights and Skaian Skies

i did some track art for yet another UMSPAF album!! this one is for the track "Golden Sights & Skaian Skies"!! it was a really fun gimmick, because i actually drew the art for it first, and then the lovely autumnalEquinox created music themed around it!!

the piece actually started as a sketch for an art class back in junior year of highschool (below the cut) (also 5 years ago now holy hell) that i decided to finish up and add some extra bits to. make sure you check out the full album as well!! it's available here for free!!

UMSPAF (the folks behind LOFAM) recently released their Undertale 10th anniversary album!

Each song (of which there are over 60 iirc) has an art piece done for it in this project, and I was able to contribute a few art pieces myself!

I did art pieces for:

Monster Kid's Theme (song by Rainy)

Play Fight!! (song by Rainy)

1 Left (song by DalekWho1963)

So fun fact about these pieces is that every single one of them was made on different software AND hardware during a time my drawing tablet broke, lol.

The art for Monster Kid's theme (the one with Frisk and Monster kid playing at the waterfall) was done in Firealpaca on my old drawing tablet just days before it broke.

Next, I did the art piece for 1 Left (the one where Frisk menacingly points at the camera) on Procreate on a borrowed iPad while I waited to be able to get a new drawing tablet lol.

The last one I did for Play Fight (the one with Frisk and Monster Kid are battling) was finally done in Krita on a new drawing tablet, on a new OS entirely (Linux this time).

It was quite the journey but I really enjoyed it all the way. Go check out the music and other artists here, they're all super talented!!!

LOFAM 5 Act 2 Release Date

We've confirmed a release date for the album, and it's coming right up!

We'll have a live release stream on our YouTube channel (youtube.com/@umspaf) on September 16, at 1pm Eastern (5pm GMT). Right after that, the album will be available for streaming on Bandcamp and download on a hosting site.

This album may have some of our best art and music yet, which is astounding considering how long the project has been around and how long it's been since Homestuck officially ended. Come join us in enjoying our niche musical tradition— Where else are you going to get this stuff?!

One last call for artists:

The team has claimed an impressive 88 art slots which are on track to be completed by release, but there are still a few songs left that need art! If you're interested in making some emergency art, get in touch by messaging Ucklin on Discord, or emailing [email protected]
