I kind of like that's a family heirloom? And that Oliver didn't really lose everything but his relationship with her was spotty though they loved each other. She didn't like Felicity. That's why it's kinda odd to me
unabashedlynerdypatrol and we can also say Felicity didn’t like Moira, she didn’t trust her and everything kinda culminated during 2x13. I don’t find it odd that Oliver chose to give his mother’s ring to Felicity. It’s the meaning behind the gesture, that is so important. When your boyfriend proposes to you with a family heirloom - like you, I like this fact too - it’s a huge thing. Huge. The emotional value, my god.
Would have been odd if Moira was the one offering her ring to the couple, eheh. But I am sure she and Felicity would’ve had a good talk, and Moira would’ve been so proud to have such a strong future daughter-in-law. But this is just my opinion :)
