i just found a bunch of midi files i got from vgmusic.com in the late 90s/early 00s on my hard drive. mostly zelda, but i’ve got a little sonic, kirby, chrono trigger, final fantasy, and other assorted goods.
sometimes intentionally, sometimes by accident, i’ve lost a lot of stuff transferring from one computer to another through the years...the fact that i still have these, have had them so long i forgot they were here, yet made sure to switch them over each time...the fact that they actually still WORK and aren’t corrupted...this is insane. that vgmusic is still online and has the exact same layout and banner that it did in 1998 is even crazier. vgmusic turned 23 years old this past december.
these midis are, without a doubt, the OLDEST files on my hard drive. something about the way that i, twenty years later, still know exactly when all the various low-quality instruments are going to come in...i’m blown away. i’m overwhelmed. i am traveling in time. i have successfully accessed childhood

Jfc people are so weird about others liking the term enby. It's not that deep it's a phonetic spelling of N and B literally said no differently than NB out loud. Like why are so many people tearing their hair out over it being "infantilizing" am I infantilizing myself when I call myself a boy because I think its cute? Like idk it's a personal opinion. When are we going to learn it's Genuinely not that big of an issue when people use terms that you don't. Yes even if you're in the same community. Yes even if they call a group of people that. There's never going to be a term an entire group of people agrees on. People use the terms they like to use. So long as they're not actively using terms that make you uncomfortable on purpose to label you. Literally who gives a shit.
