...Care Much?

So I’m sitting here in a tutorial session with my students and of course we begin talking. About school mostly, as they are preparing to graduate. Then it dawns on me---just how much I influence their adolescent lives. I mean, yeah I know that as an educator I help to prepare them for the world ahead of them. What made this a defining moment was that they care if I care. (Insert :-) here.) 

I had no idea. That not just my pedagogy impacted them, but my energy and personal philosophy as well. I care. They care. In this neutral space I am able to truly teach and mentor my students. I have learned. I you care, students will care. They respect me, they are eager for instruction, but more importantly they trust me. I do not take this for granted. 

So I ask---do you
