“  Nate. This is Dogmeat. You alright?  ” The shotgun was put away as he fetched something from a pouch on his belt-- a stimpack. Nate offered it to the armored stranger. Dogmeat didn’t seem to detect any other nearby enemies-- but he was wary of this human. They smelled like blood and terror. He remained at Nate’s side.

“  That’s one hell of a power armor suit. Haven’t seen them since the war.  ”

     Big? He was, that was the mental remark at the sight of the other, and for now the only note. Perhaps it was a mistake to go out looking for food today. Or not, different was rather nice after so long. Skin glimmered obsidian under the light of roaring flame, indention's of gold and ruby lining scales and horns.

     Talons moved aside a bloody corpse, face curling in mild disgust before eyeing the approaching behemoth of armor. Studious, careful, before the “demon” chuckles lowly and disappears behind crevices and walls of crumbling stone.

Everything hurt. Why couldn’t he feel his legs? Why did everything at the waist sting so much? He couldn’t quite answer all of the questions that were swimming around in his head, but he wasn’t exactly in the best state of mind to be asking sound questions.

But.. Why couldn’t he feel his legs?? He tries kicking one of them, and a horrible metallic grating noise can be heard as that horrendously long tail grinds up against the Praetor armor. He was restless - he wanted answers. Just how long had he been in that fiery place? Which pieces were lopped off, one-by-one and replaced with cybernetics? He lost track, but it seemed like he was in there forever, and he.. He didn’t know just what had been done to his body. At least, not yet.

Soon enough, he lets out a pained breath before piping up.   “...Slayer- I- I’m scared-” There were plenty of reasons why, and just one of them was the whole bit of being turned into a demon. Or, at least, he made it partway through the process - but he never gave up hope. He knew that someone would come for him. He knew that the Slayer would enact revenge on those who orchestrated the vivisection.

“What- What’s going to happen to me..?”

It wasn’t an ideal situation to be in the general vicinity of the Slayer, but.. Uhh.. At least he wasn’t being attacked or anything like that. Not to mention, the UAC didn’t exaaactly have a spotless record.

And.. That’s.. A gun. Yeah. A heavily modded UAC EMG pistol, at that. But.. The gesture was certainly thoughtful of the Slayer, given how much he seems to love guns, anyways - not to mention it was probably for the best that a low-recoil weapon was best suited for the poor engineer.

“...Uhh-” He’s not great at thank-you’s, especially in the presence of the hulking marine. Give him a moment.          “Thanks-?”
