Β Β Β Β Β Β Β Β moving to ballonlea meant adjusting to life in a town that saw very little SUNLIGHT year round. a minor inconvenience at bestββ yet bede had always been awfully pale to begin with. with the change, his pallor had slowly started to drift towards SICKLY territory, andΒ Β Β ( as someone preoccupied with appearances as he was ) the last thing the gym leader wanted was to look half-dead on his feet. as a result, bede took just about every opportunity he could get to soak up a bit of sun.Β Β Β ( something easier said than done in galar. ) with the seasons quickly changing and growing colder, his desperation had only grown.
Β Β Β Β Β Β Β Β that particular day had been quite the RARITYββ not too chilly, not too cloudy. perhaps the last half-decent bit of weather he would be seeing for quite some time. the gym leader had decided to make the most of it, finding a nice place in a public park to read.
Β Β Β Β Β Β Β Β it was supposed to be RELAXING. unfortunately, it seemed as if fate had other plans for the fairy trainer.Β Β Β ( as it all too often did. )
Β Β Β Β Β Β Β Β being as perceptive as he was frequently came in HANDY during battle.Β Β Β ( tiny details standing out to the boy with perfect clarity. ) however, there were times when it became more of an inconvenienceββ such as, when he was simply trying to mind his own business and felt the weight of anotherβs GAZE upon him. for a moment, bede considered trying to ignore it. he should get used to being stared at, he had reasoned. he was a gym leader, after all.Β Β Β ( people were bound to gawk at him whether he wanted them to or not. )Β upon reading the same sentence for the third time over, the boy quickly lost his patience.
Β Β Β Β Β Β Β Β bede shut his book and looked up, scowling a bit as he did so.β do you need SOMETHING? β
Ah. Thatβs an ever-so-slightly volatile reaction. Fritz makes a point to frownΒ as the gym leaderβs patienceΒ (or lack thereof)Β ends up giving him a snippy remark.
βAh. My apologies; itβs not everyday that one sees a gym leader with such hair.Β Β ...Or, rather, completely white hair.β Fritz always thought that theΒ βout-thereβ hairstyles that most of the gym leaders had were quirkyΒ (and, quite frankly, ridiculous at times).Β Oh well - someone of that importance had to have someΒ kind of unique style about them, right?
βItβs my fault for staring, though. I would indulge you in a bit of a scuffle, but-βΒ Β Thump.Β Β A high-speed impact from a particularly disk-like PokΓ©mon directly to Fritzβs abdomen leaves him doubled over.Β Β Cough, wheeze.Β Β Looks like his Metang ended up speeding back from god-knows-where and wanted to let the brown-haired lad know that it was, in fact, in the immediate vicinity. A bit tooΒ immediate for his comfort, anyways - but the steel-type immediately hovers beside him in an almost mockingly cheerful manner.
βHrrghghk-Β Β Hkkh- Hff-β Oh god, thatβs gonna leave a mark.
βAs- As I was saying- Iβm not too much of a PokΓ©mon trainer in terms of battling.β
